Although Ortiz or Povetkin would be great, I think I'd actually rather see them against each other. Been a fan of that potential fight for a while. As for Usyk, someone on the level of Andy Ruiz Jr, Jennings, Rivas seeing as it's going to be in the US would be good I think.
Good news. Usyk cleaned up at cruiser weight. At 6'3" tall with a 78" reach, he's got enough height and reach to compete today, but I think it will be his skills and toughness that will stand out at heavyweight.
Look for Usyk to fight a top 20 heavyweight right out of the gate, and close in on a title match before 2020 ends.

Rivas is a good call. Might be too quick after his last fight unfortunately.

Rivas is an undersized (height/reach) heavyweight. My bet is on Povetkin.
Usyk's business manager: “He [Usyk] wants to face the best of the division – he does not want to waste his time having tune-ups, he wants to fight top fighters straight away. And in those fights, he intends to demonstrate he is ready to conquer the crown at heavyweight.”
I agree, now that ryabinsky is out of the rubbleroid business he can't be as picky. There is just such a lack of depth if it isn't povetkin he could end up with something like the kownacki/Washington winner and neither of them would be competitive with hunter, much less usyk.

Kownacki is crap. Usyk clearly wants to immediately mix it up with the big fellas.

I would like to see him fight Deontay Wilder for his first fight at HW. If he looks as good at HW, he will never get a title shot.
I wouldn't want to see that as his first fight. Neither does Usyk, I suspect.

To those suggesting he’ll fight povetkin, would povetkin actually take that fight? How much money have usyk’s people got?
I think it's the only opportunity for Pov to get back into title contention. There is no other fight out there for him. He's 39; somewhat dangerous; and has maybe one more shot, but he'll have to take a risk, and Usyk is the perfect opportunity. To be frank, Usyk will beat him. He will be co-promoted by K2 promotions and Matchroom Boxing, so pockets are deep.
