Washington has always been a slow starter who struggles with pressure. That is exactly why you should be impressed by Kownacki in this instance; he had a gameplan and executed it without giving his opponent time to get his own started. And let's not pretend this division is littered with talent.

Kownacki was just on the microphone announcing his wife is expecting a baby.
Perhaps Kownacki can be the 1st to breast feed it.

Don't make room on the trophy shelf just yet. Washington did nothing.

I disagree - Washington made a decent last stand of his career.
He didn't fold or quit at mentally at least - he fought back after being hurt.
He's just chinny and not very good.

I DO raise Kownacki a little bit - He did what good fighters do to bad ones. He's never gonna be the No1, but he could win a Euro title and be in some big fights. Good to watch fights certainly.

I want to see him vs The Juggernaut.
That should happen soon now he's signed to Haymon. :box:

But Washington does have skills, he has a lovely jab, sure, it's not super hard or fast, but it is very decent. I expected him to land it on Kownacki's guard (his face) all night..

I think he could do the same thing to Wilder. Two common opponents, Washington and Szpilka. Szpilka was beating Wilder until he got caught. Washington lasted 5.

F'g shill announcers said after round one, it's hard to say who who is winning. They were doing the same shit in the first fight too.

I mentioned earlier, he has a jab, but no brain or heart for boxing. You need to know what to do, not just have the punch.

Styles. Wilder doesn't pressure you like that because he doesn't have to. Wilder would wreck Kownacki.

He clearly didn’t like having it put on him. Not sure I’d rate Kownacki highly based on that but he was clearly the better fighter tonight.

First time I’ve seen the guy and not really sure why he’s being touted at that level.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I just don't see Kownacki beating any top 10 guys. Let him fight Michael Hunter. A real fighter who can really box.

Wouldn’t mind seeing him fight a guy like Dillian Whyte.

I disagree. I can see Baby Face doing Wilder just like he did tonight. Joshua, Fury, Usyk, no, forgedaboudit. Wilder yes.

Whyte would tear him up. Kownacki comes straight forward and has no defense.

He's already beat three former title challengers.
