johnson at age 37 is definitely on his "2nd wind" since the last woods fight & has his 2 biggest career wins over jones & tarver...with the competitive decision vs tarver as his one loss since then!! its VERY EASY to look good against an EXTREMELY UNWORTHY CHALLENGER in delisle & only clinton's win over gonzalez is a legit feather in his cap since the loss to glencoffe...rico hoye was undefeated but totally untested & unproven!! a recently rejuvenated johnson beat woods more clearly than the last time!!
Hoye Ko'd Richard Hall, who went 12 rds with Johnson recently. Hoye was big and dangerous, so to say woods only has one legit feather is nonsense when he's dominated two men who were top 10 rated...yes, delisle isn't a worthy challenger. but woods' improved performance vs delisle this time speaks well of his improvement. his 3rd fight with Johnson will also tell us a lot!
why do you think a lot of ppl fancy woods this time? it's a bit prosaic to assume that because Fighter A Johnson is better than Fighters B and C Gonzalez / Hoye, that Woods is still the same fighter. he's made a lot of changes in his approach, which are paying off.

woods-johnson I was a draw and it was Not a robbery. Neither, for that matter, were Mr Humble Holier Than Thou's fights with Ottke, Brewer II, Mitchell, Sheika, Sosa, Harmon
i guess we'll have to agree to disagree on this one, VM...i still put more weight in johnson's wins over a faded roy jones & an (albeit controversial) win over a tarver who at 36 is very low mileage (26 pro bouts) & still 95% of the best he's ever been!
i take it from your "holier than thou" shot at glen that you dont like him too much, but i give the road warrior much respect for finding his best weight & top of his game at age 37. he is a totally different fighter now than the man who was still finding his way amidst the learning experiences he had at MW & SM!! of course as azumah nelson showed us a few years back, you can get very old in one night at age 37, so i think it behooves glen to fight woods in the next year or less to avoid increasing that very risk!![/b]

ha! we'll disagree till the rubber match...the holier than thou comment is a reference to every blemish on his record that he calls "a joke decision". i've got hold of a lot of these fights & he lets a lot of them slip away in the late rds
