Good betBoxerbeetle wrote: ↑26 Jan 2019, 14:25Definitely worth keeping an eye on the weigh-in for this one. If Stiverne turns up in the same shape as he did for Wilder 2, I’m putting my house on a Joyce early ko.

Awful fight. Stiverne has not won a fight in over 2 years. He's completely shot. Big fan of Joyce but he needs shot of that arsehole manger to pipes in and interrupts Joyce in every interview. His opponents since Lewinson havent been great and this is down to his manager
Re: Joe Joyce vs Bermane Stiverne - 23 February 2019
He really doesn't have the time to fiddle around with poor management. This fight leaves much to be desired.rio wrote: ↑28 Jan 2019, 12:43 Awful fight. Stiverne has not won a fight in over 2 years. It's a Former Champion, and an easy mark. It's the perfect move for Joyce IMO. He should win inside 4 rounds so I see no reason why he couldn't pursue a bigger step up by May or June.oogiebe wrote: ↑28 Jan 2019, 12:46He really doesn't have the time to fiddle around with poor management. Stiverne is a much smarter move by his management than the rumored Luis Ortiz fight. The Ortiz fight was more interesting obviously, but WAY more dangerous for Joyce. Smart to get him at least 1 or 2 guys on this level before diving into the deep end of the pool.
Re: Joe Joyce vs Bermane Stiverne - 23 February 2019
Given Ortiz or Stiverne, I agree. But there are several better matchups for Joyce to develop and grow. Michael Hunter; Charles Martin; Robert Helenius; David Allen to name a few. This matchup vs Stiverne is just 'busy work.' If he is so ready, let him fight at least a top 50 guy.gilgamesh wrote: ↑28 Jan 2019, 12:52It's a Former Champion, and an easy mark. It's fine as long as Joe stays active. Joyce fought 6 times in 2018. It's only his first fight this year. If he makes short work of Stiverne then it's onto the next one.
Re: Joe Joyce vs Bermane Stiverne - 23 February 2019
Hopefully soon after. He'll only get one or two rounds out of Stiverne.clopixolacuphase wrote: ↑30 Jan 2019, 19:29It's fine as long as Joe stays active. Joyce fought 6 times in 2018. It's only his first fight this year. If he makes short work of Stiverne then it's onto the next one.

Good for Joe agree, Stiverne has a name into boxing
Better that as a noname
And Joe make its easy .... first round
one step closer to AJ

Stiverne "apologizes" for his lack of dedication in his last fight and "promises" he'll be the Stiverne of old and KTFO Joyce. How dumb does he think we are?

LMAO! No better. thousands of situps; weight lifts; miles ran...etc. No one wanted to fight him for that last 14 months. Oh, and thousands of buffets as well I'm sure.Boxerbeetle wrote: ↑01 Feb 2019, 15:29Did he also say this is the best camp he’s ever had, and there will be no excuses on the night?

I reckon Joyce should challenge Trevor Bryan after this
Re: Joe Joyce vs Bermane Stiverne - 23 February 2019
Why not replace Miller in the 4 man 'tourney.' Would give Joyce needed rounds against better comp and give him a belt. yup!

Good to see they published the promo shot showing Stirvene as he is likely to turn up!

I’d like to see him beat up his arch nemesis, that arrogant cheating frog Yoka. I saw a Yoka interview (that had about 200 views and 8 likes) where he said that Joyce was too old and he wasn’t interested in him, so obviously he doesn’t fancy it.

lol and just 2 fights ago he fought a guy a couple years older then joyceclopixolacuphase wrote: ↑17 Feb 2019, 10:47I’d like to see him beat up his arch nemesis, that arrogant cheating frog Yoka. Re: Joe Joyce vs. Bermane Stiverne - 23 February 2019
On paper this is a decent test for Joyce, a former world Heavyweight champ in his 8th fight is solid, the reality is though more than likely Stiverne will come out of shape with zero ambition, I just hope Joyce can take care of him in good fashion, you know Joyce will just keep plodding away and letting his hands go, its the only way he knows how, he wont want to go the distance, hopefully Stiverne will come in shape and with intentions to win but either way Joyce should still club him to defeat, probably early rather than late
Joyce isn't the most charismatic boxer we've seen but I like his style

Do we reckon Joyce bombs him out inside 2 or carries him to round 5 or so before getting him out of there?
