This is it, if you've nothing nice to say why bother saying anything at all.

There aren't any titles to be won for being a nice bloke.
We can easily pick apart Joshua's personality too.
Entirely up to you wether or not you have an opinion on the man rather than the boxer. This thread is actually about George Groves but it has evolved organically, as conversations sometimes do. For example my post which caused this segue way was actually pointing out how someone had misunderstood David Brent.
Yes Anthony Joshua could easily, as could many others. Not by you of course, you only see the boxer, not the man.
We don't really disagree :TU:

What that he isn't anywhere near as clever and cool as he makes out?
The basic idea behind Brent is that he is a bafoon who says and does ridiculous and inappropriate things because he is desperate to be liked but is fundamentally a good human being. I don’t believe that Froch is, he is deeply unpleasant.
Maybe but Froch should be judged as a fighter not a person. Some things which may lead people to think he can be a bit unpleasant are also things which made him the fighter he was.
Were not all idiots coco,we know he was tough as nails doesnt mean he can be a tit now that he isnt a prize fighter. Gerald mcClellan was a brilliant fighter but a hotrible human being, sre how i seperated the two? :TU:

Like when Groves was threatening to 'shank' people in Frochs team? That kind of gentleman?
Ward was offered the fight on the UK on more than 1 occasion but wouldn't take it. Not saying Froch would win but get Ward out of the US and it would have been an interesting night, particularly in Nottingham.

Think your definition of ironing someone out needs a bit of thought chump.
Ward would of smashed froch anywere on the planet, ward bullied froch up close boxed his head off from the outside,ok he never ironed him out but he gave him a boxing lesson,he had his flute and tamed the cobra lol. Are you talking about the same people from the froch camp that were threatening groves? His two baffoon brothers??
Is it Lee Froch who was the bellend in the leather jacket ?
Both brothers tried to bully GG,posting stupid images of gingers and d1cks with ginger pubes all over their twitter page, proper grown up stuff ya know

He cant help himself,he believed GG didnt deserve to share a ring with him till he was looking up at lights in the first round, you would think that would of humbled him but no he is an absolute tit and George walks away from boxing happy and content that he won every title their is to win in boxing english commonwealth british european and world title and also had his share of gathering 80,000 people to wembley to fight some tit from nottingham

I really like George Groves, I have enjoyed his career, he seems like a decent guy and I am pleased that he has retired.... BUT that inbetweeners gif that was doing the rounds after the second Froch fight was still funny

I’m a big groves fan always have been but I respect the fact that froch sticks to his guns and says what he likes.

Not for Carl any of this modern bullshit of pretending you like and respect everyone so as not to offend any over precious types, for whatever reason he can’t stand groves and so he gives him a dig every chance he gets.

Carl had a shitty on because ahead of their first fight George wouldn't lick his arse, he was expecting him to be thankful for the opportunity and go on about what an honour it is to fight The Cobra.

Ye carl and his two bellend brothers owned george this day,3 on 1 and eddie hearn standing there with a smug look on his face too. Carl lost my respect in the build up to GG first fight,Groves said he would beat froch, now to any normal person this is just someone saying what they believe to be true but with froch? No,this is disrespectful and arrogant in the cobra's eyes and all through the build up thats all carl could say that GG disrespected him. Now i loved the way carl fought and had some good nights watching him but as a person he was a tit he has always been a tit and will always be a tit.

I am surprised at Froch as he does not strike me as a stupid man.

He has a real grudge and hate in his heart which seems to stem from being disrespected by GG who as someone said, did not lick his arse before the first fight and was a young "upstart".

It's a fcking fight, not an invitation to the prom. It is all mind games and part of the battle. Fights are not only in the ring, they are also in the build up and so many great fighters mastered that, Ali being a great example.

GG said things and acted in a way which was part of his battle plan, and it nearly worked. How can Froch not understand it was all part of that?!

And jesus, imagine if he'd ever had someone like James Toney sat opposite on a press conference table - "I'll beat you and your mamas ass."
