If he hasn’t packed it in he’s wasting his career. He’s already old.

If only there was a BOXing RECord site where you can search for fighters. If there was, you may discover he fought 9 weeks ago. Hardly fits the whole "has he packed it in" potential scenario

I'd like to know what happened to Lee Selby, not Andrew. Did he retire? Is he hurt? Nothing since split dec with Warrington.

Andrew Selby is fighting in Mexico next on the 26th January v Julio Cesar Martinez Aguilar (apparently a WBC Flyweight final eliminator).

I remember being so hyped on Frankie when he first turned pro. That feeling was definitely misguided. I had the same feelings about Ismael Silakh! Although I do think Ismael did have the talent, just had no punch resistance whatsoever.

Bold move fighting a Mexican in Mexico for an opportunity with the wbc (of all the organisations). He'll have to earn that win, the movement won't be enough.

gavin was a good prospect, but just didnt have the mentality, ability alone is less than half of the story, without the discipline and hard work nobody succeeds....i should know, im a huge underachiever.

I could be wrong on this, but I always had the feeling that Gavin didn't quite believe in himself in the same way that a lot of people did aswell (alongside the lack of discipline, etc)

I get the same vibe from Brook as well actually.

I seen Gavin close up recently, he was skilled but inconsistent and took loads of shots off a journeyman type. He was good but I never seen world title in him. Not to down on him because he was successful and he was also very sound when I met him but just never seen it in him as a pro. He still had a very good career am and pro.
