For the vacant IBF Lightweight title on the Alvarez/Kovalev show this Saturday, this is Commey's second crack at a world title after dropping a debateable decision to Easter Jr a few years back, I thought he won that fight but he got badly rocked in the last round and was hanging on for dear life by the end, he ended up losing to Shafikov in his next fight but has picked up a few wins since

So Commey stops Chaniev in 2 to become world Lightweight champ, bit of a ding dong in the short time it lasted, the 1st round was give and take and Chaniev was landing his fair share as well as taken some, with seconds left of the opener Commey dropped him with a left hook/right hand which turned Chaniev's legs to jelly but he somehow made it through the round

Commey dropped Chaniev right at the start of the 2nd this time with a left hook, again Chaniev's legs were gone and when Commey set in about him decking him with an uppercut the ref stopped it, fun fight while it lasted and happy to see Commey become world champ, I remember when he was plying his trade over here and won the Commonwealth title

commey is a lot bigger then loma, could be a bit of a banana skin

Pleased to see Commey become world champion. Was a brilliant finish. Definitely more interested in Loma vs Commey compared to Crolla. Probably be the biggest puncher Loma has faced.

Definitely a TTG. Dont know enough of his career, but dont think he has ever been down.
