What is next for Eleider Alvarez

Post by Cent0089 »

Man is still at his prime despite age of 34. Can he get some decent fights in 2019? Maybe rematch with Pascal can be still big deal in Canada. Or guys like Edwin Rodriguez? to get title shot again? :box: :box: :box: what do you think guys ?

He looked his age last night vs Kovalev, who clearly benefited from the addition of HOFer Buddy McGirt to his team. Kovalev made Alvarez look very slow last night, so Eleider needs his next bout to be against someone who wont exploit his lack of speed and ring mobility.

Alvarez stinks the joint out like 80% of the time. His workrate is nonexistent. I think he'd make a good step-up fight for Beterbiev. Not too interested in seeing a third Kovalev fight right now. Kovalev should be fighting Gvozdyk.

Not sure, I thought Kovalev was done but clearly not.

I know this, LHW is my favour division at the minute. Beterbiev, Kovalev, Bivol, Gvozdyk and Browne need to fight one another though.

Beterbiev, Kovalev, Bivol, Gvozdyk should fight each other.

Contenders including Browne, Alvarez, Yarde, Jack should fight each other.

How bad does he want it?
He looked like he didn't want to be there mid way through with Kov.
Like others, I don't want to see a rematch.

I think we may see Kovalev vs Beterbiev now when they are both on ESPN:

He’s a good fighter no doubt however unless he shows otherwise I’d put him in the same mould as Jean Pascal at Lh. He’s a fresher Pascal basically.

There are talks with Beterbiev, but since they both have the same trainer, it might be hard to make it happen... not impossible though.

Jacobs and Derevo share the same trainer, and they fought. ESPN just needs to throw in enough money.
