Only found out yesterday that Rocky Marciano was based in Swansea during the war.
His barracks was located where The Towers hotel is now.

Anyway there’s a story in these parts that he knocked out an Australian soldier on Wind Street. (In the Adelphi, now known as Bucket List)

Anyone else have any Rocky Swansea stories and Do you reckon the Wind Street one is legit?

I done the door in the Adelphi, they even had a Marciano's bar upstairs. There is half a chance he had a drink in there, he was def stationed in Swansea, the story is an old wives tale.
