He's an immature kid who did a thoughtless/mindless thing. Didn't I say I don't excuse it? Let's see if this type of behavior continues before we crucify him. That's all I'm saying.

Crass behavior, thuggish mentality in sports is actually admired and even expected by a segment of the fan base.

Some point to Broner. You can go back to Tyson. But it's commonplace stuff.

Lopez doesn't know any better. He's a new millennium athlete.

Lopez is trying to create a buzz. I don't think he's really a pr*ck deep down like Broner is. However, he does want his opponents to remember the beating he gave them. Same with Loma too. Loma enjoys clowning overmatched opponents and making them quit. It's not enough to just beat the opponent down, both Lopez and Loma want to really leave their mark on their opponents psyche.

As far as Loma vs Lopez goes, Loma has beaten Linares and Pedraza at 135. He didn't look overly amazing in either fight. I would expect Lopez to starch both of those guys. Lopez has a size and natural weight/strength advantage and clearly has immense offensive talent. The question is how good is he defensively. It's ok to look slick against overmatched opponents but Loma will be testing his defense out to say the least. This is the biggest challenge out there to Loma now since Mikey has gone up to 147.

People will say Lopez doesn't desreve a shot but Anthony Crolla is getting a shot at Loma ffs
if forced to pick, who do you go with?

loma might be vulnerable to being out muscled at 135

Hmmm...fair point. I'm willing to give the kid a chance. We all make mistakes, and unless he continues that behavior, I'll give him a pass.

I didn't mind it at all. The only thing that pissed me off was magdalenos corner and the ref. I'm a fan of Roberto Duran and Erik Morales. I bet they both smiled.

I dont see how anyone can pick Lopez YET. I'd have to go with Loma. But for me it's like a 70/30 fight at best for Loma. If the bookie came out with crazy odds, I'd have no problem putting a large bet on Lopez. He is a very live dog in the fight but right now Loma is a clear fav and definitely the "A side"
