Unless Jacobs wins WAY convincingly like at least 10 rounds to 2 or 9 rounds to 3 with a knockdown I don't think they'll give it to him.

Judging will be fair only if Canelo completely outboxes Jacobs which is unlikely. Otherwise, some (if necessary 6) Jacobs rounds will definitely be given to Canelo.

It's in Vegas on Cinco de Mayo weekend. Close decisions there usually go to the fighter with the brighter financial future, which is Canelo. Plus GBP has lots of sway with the NSAC. Jacobs needs to win big to get the nod, which is unlikely.

I don't either.

The guy is fighting in a zone completely different from everyone else.

Derevyanchenko shook up Jacobs on a few occasions. Golovkin floored him.
Pirog stopped him.

Canelo should be able to duplicate all that. And more.

The judges will be the least of Jacobs' problems on Cuatro de Mayo.

If Jacobs was to win 8 rounds clearly, it should be enough to get at least a split decision.
I don't expect him to win though, maybe make the distance, but I feel his best performance was against GGG. Since that fight Jacobs hasn't shown enough to be in the running for 8 clear rounds, and I don't really give him a puncher's chance here.

In no way did GGG floor him. I thought Jacobs won the fight despite the knockdown, which was more of a stumble down. This is a perfect example of what could likely happen to Jacobs against Canelo.

I don’t agree. I had GGG winning the fight with the difference being the knockdown. BUT, had the GGG/Canelo 1 fight not already been in the books then I think that judges may have gone with the home fighters work in that fight due to the crowd reactions to every punch Jacobs threw in that fight

Motherf*cking Oscar won't let Canelo go out there without the aid from the judges. No doubt about that. Poor Jacobs has to win very decisively.

Jacobs wasn't landing nearly enough to win. He was mainly talking and enjoying still being in the fight. GGG won at least 7 rounds plus KD. I had him winning 9 but a couple were close.

I agree. I’m saying that the crowd was going nuts on every glancing blow by Jacobs so it’s exactly the kind of fight that ends in a bad decision. I’m not a great writer but that what I tried to express.

I watched GGG-Jacobs twice. I have only one dilemma (114-113 or 115-112, GGG). This is 100 % objective and neutral opinion. Jacobs did not win more than six rounds, definitely.
