I saw the fight for the first time last year. And Kirkland Laing kicked Roberto Duran's ass fighting Duran's fight.
Duran didn't showed nothing. It was obvious that at 154lbs, it wasn't his weight class. The weight class was too much for his frame.

Nobody's ass was kicked in that fight.
Re: Roberto Duran v Kirkland Laing
It was a split decision and very close and boring fight.

An 8-2 scorecard for Laing is comical....may I suggest you rewatch that fight with no volume instead of listening to all time Duran basher Al Bernstein & co...that commentary is sickening....

Not a great fight but a clear comfortable win for Laing, I only gave Duran 2 rounds myself, Laing outboxed him for the most part and by the end was outfighting him, his jab was better, sharp with the left hook and lead rights, easy win

I know you to be a rather stalwart Duran fan, I think you're letting your disappointment in possibly your favorite fighter cloud your judgment. That was a close fight. I wouldn't call it a robbery if it went in either direction. When they are close you win some you lose some. Duran lost that one. But I doubt anyone would flinch if it split the other way.

Duran/Sims is a much better watch. Underrated fight.
