Did Tyson Fury really donate his whole take from the Wilder fight? 7mill???

Post by caldo2025 »

Is this true or just craziness being thrown out there on the web? If it’s true then he just became my favorite fighter. If he lied about it then he’s got huge balls and He just became my favorite fighter.

True or?

I would think that a high maintenance wife would have "lovingly" convinced hubby to keep some of that money.

Fury may not care about money. But women never take kindly to it being casually scattered to the einds.

Especially when there's so much to buy at the malls.

Fury wouldn’t have actually been paid £7m - nowhere close. Half of that would have been expenses for his team (manager, promoter, cut man, trainer etc.), with him being heavily taxed on the remainder.

I believe Fury probably did give a lot of his purse to charity, though I doubt he gave every single penny.

^ preach, not many people realise what boxers take home

If £7m is in the pot 700k to trainer/manager/promoter (£2.1m)
Remaining £4.9m is taxed so probably took home nearly £3m

(these were just figures I plucked out of the air but the deductions are realistic)

Come on guys. The guy hasn’t had a big fight in a long long time so to take his proceeds from it is worth some appreciation from fans. That’s so much better than Floyd flaunting it over his vast sneaker collection or knee high boots he wore Sat night. For once, someone does something good with it so let’s give him some credit.

So you're saying if he lied he's your favourite fighter but if he didn't, he's you're favourite fighter?
