Shadow boxing
Can anyone help me out with shadow boxing . It is probably the toughest thing i have ever done . I just cant imagine anyone standing in front of me . So please i need your help guys !

shadow box in front of a mirror to see what they see, and whenever you can, shadow box in a ring. dont over think it.

Like Yuzo said, jump in front of the mirror and you will see the Southpaw (or Orthodox) version of you.
Throw a punch and get the same back (from the Southpaw).
Drop your hand, so has the opponent. Throw into the gap, watch them throw into the same gap.
So you can use the mirror to work on head movement, defending the shots that you can see coming back at you, by moving feet, hips, head, and hands.
As you do more and more rounds of shadow and sparring, you won't need the mirror to visualise the shots coming in.
That's when getting in the ring is really helpful, because now you don't need to face a certain way, not you can get used to using the whole space, having an awareness of what room is left behind you, to the left, right, and ahead.
As you feel the back leg brush the rope, that's your cue to pivot off, back to the center of the ring, if thats your modus operandi, or out to the sides.

Like those guys said use a mirror although it’s not always essential as sometimes you want to work your feet as you do it, it’s basically the best way to ingrain your shape, punch delivery and general overall movement into your muscle memory, it’s not vital to imagine an opponent or even to fully extend your punches as the whole point is by constant repetition these movements become natural and instinctive, when looking on a mirror check for flaws such as elbows sticking out or balance issues and adjust accordingly, remember it’s repitition until it feels natural, it won’t happen overnight so stick with it.

thats right. you never have to be on the ropes.

and study your body. you have to study the way your body moves during each punch to really make your feints convincing.

Don't just picture someone in front of you. In your mind feel dominant and confidence, Follow through with all the fundamentals, the combos you have learned with your trainer. shadowing is a great moment to know yourself mentally and physically. You can adjust or tweak some combo youve practiced and use it when its time to spar. Your coach will tell you if the tweak is acceptable.

Shadow Box while wearing 16 ounce boxing gloves. Do several minutes,then switch to wearing much lighter gloves, and/or No gloves. I think it adds a certain overload dynamic to the movements and creates a better and more effective exercise.
