Just 31 so there's plenty time for him to change his mind.

Career highlight was being the only man to stop Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

Still listed for 3 weeks from Saturday. Though I know the op is on top of the polish scene.

It seems that Fonfara announced his retirement several hours ago, which would have been the middle of the night for the PBC business address in Las Vegas. Various Polish websites state that Fonfara's retirement was unexpected. The PBC haven't had time to update their website yet.

This is basic stuff, why don't you think things through?

Or maybe PBC holds out hope that Fonfara may change his mind in the next few days.

Could purse issues be behind the abrupt announcement?

Definitely sounds like he'll return.

He says he's injury free but just tired of it right now.

Give him a little hiatus and the desire will return.

He might change his mind - who knows? For sure, he's cretainly young enough to consider a ring return within the next 18 months or so.

No shit. Give them time to talk to him and verify his retirement. And see if they make a statement.

My goal is for fighters is to retire with a win, even if the competition is at a lower level. Hopefully that victory is held in front of the home town fans.

Fonfara won his final fight by 6th round TKO vs former contender Ismayl Sillah in Poland. That's not a bad way to hang the gloves up.
