Mayweather Says Another Exhibition Being Lined Up For July

Former five division world champion Floyd Mayweather is gearing up for another trip to Japan in the summer.

According to Mayweather, he plans to take part in another exhibition bout.

This time around, Mayweather says he will face a ex-boxer - but he's unsure of the name or weight class.

MMA company RIZIN had promoted the initial exhibition and is likely handling the next one.

Last Saturday night, Mayweather told reporters that he brokered a deal where his undefeated pupil, WBA super featherweight champion Gervonta Davis, would travel over to Japan in April for an exhibition with Nasukawa.

Mayweather expects to take part in several exhibitions before the year is over.

"They called me, I got another one in Japan, in July... for like $10 million, three rounds. I got another one in July, same rules, always my rules. It's a Japanese boxer, a former boxer from what I heard, I got a call today. In exhibitions this year alone, I think I got about 4 or 5 exhibitions this year... I'll make about $80 million, this year," Mayweather told TMZ.

Floyd said he had $80m worth of these sort of exhibitions lined-up. Most elite level fighters won't earn anywhere near that amount during the course of their entire career, but this is just loose change for him.

It's goes with the territory of being a boxing fan.

But Mayweather is the target of such a ridiculous amount of animosity that it becomes clear that plenty fans are envious.

Mayweather brags and he backs it up. He flaunts his wealth constantly. It reminds too many fans that they have nothing by way of comparison.

Envy.

Mayweather has been very very good for the sport of boxing. He brought it plenty attention.

And now in retirement, interest in him remains strong. And because of that, the sport prospers.

True boxing fans should salute Mayweather rather than criticize.

It's more that he has bought his way out of 5 (five) counts of domestic battery that makes me hate the guy. Nothing to do with boxing, money, his lifestyle (although he could have given a bit back to the sport) or his mouth.
Just the fact he can beat up women and then pay to make it go away, instead of going to jail like any normal Wifebeater.

I have no problems him making money mate, (aren't we all doing that haha) - just feel like the lifestyle he portrays on social media is not sustainable whilst being retired !
