Callum Smith vs. Sergey Kovalev (LHW), who wins ?

Smith's trainer Joe Gallagher confirmed that his fighter might move at LHW and face Sergey Kovalev, WBO champion (if he can not get the unification fights at SMW).
What do you think about this potential fight. Who wins ? How ?

Close call. They both were quite unpredictable in their last fights. Both were very dominant there as well. Both can box, both possess power.

Kovalev is a better boxer, and it is not even close, so if he boxes, he will win.

Smith wasn't exactly highly regarded before he beat Grove. He was the underdog going in.

So he would have his work cut out moving up in weight and fighting an established puncher like Kovalev, who just showed that he can also box in an effective, disciplined style.

Kovalev by decision.

I wanna see it.
I voted TCTC but if I had to pick it would be Smith. I think Kov WAS a lot better in his pomp, but Smith is too young, fresh and full of it.
Plus, bizarrely for the guy moving up, he's naturally much bigger.

Very intriguing bout. I'd favor Kovalev, but Callum Smith has consistently surprised in his career so you can't say for sure.

I find it difficult as we don't know what Smith will be like at 175. Does his power fade? Is he noticeably slower? Stronger? Can he take a bigger man's punch? We just don't know.

Callum Smith beats Sergey Kovalev. If this fight took place a few years ago, the Brit would have been stopped, but not today.

Wow. Smith stocks skyrocketed after a win over chinny post-surgery Groves. To me, he is WAY overrated now. He is too one-dimensional to beat Kovalev.

It is not to be excluded the situation with Kovalev even smashing Smith.
