MTK Global is proud to confirm the signing of two-weight world champion Hekkie Budler, who joins the MTK Africa team under Colin Nathan.
The South African star (32-4-KO10) – nicknamed ‘The Hexecutioner’ – has unified world titles at both minimumweight and light-flyweight and racked up an astonishing 17 world title fights.
Still just 30 years of age, Budler is eager to begin a new chapter of his illustrious career.
Budler said: “I am so happy to have a powerful brand like MTK behind me. With the best in the business guiding my career, the big fights will be rolling in and my profile will rise.
“It is also great that Colin, who has been with me from the beginning of my professional career, is now involved with MTK Global in heading up the African continent.
“I’m more hungry than ever to win back a world title as soon as possible and despite having achieved what I’ve achieved already, I firmly believe the best days of my career are still ahead of me.”
Nathan added: “This is a fantastic statement of intent for MTK Global and for MTK Africa. Hekkie has been one of the most underrated fighters in the world up to this point.
“Having won and defended multiple world titles, Hekkie is a shining example to all African boxers and with MTK Global now in his corner, we believe there’s so much more to come.”

Potentially a good signing, they also signed Muhammad Waseem recently, so looks like they are getting involved in the smaller divisions.

Can’t remember who he was being co-promoted by. But he’s spent time at Mayweather’s Gym.
