Top Rank's Bob Arum said he thinks the Deontay Wilder vs Tyson Fury rematch should happen in September in order to generate the most money. He suggested that both men first have an interim fight. [@LATimesSports]

Re: Tyson Fury to be co-promoted by Top Rank
Basicly Tyson has just announced he's joining the heavyweight fiasco , where the top 3 all purposly sign with the opponents in oder to avoid actually fighting each other , they just settle for name calling , and blaming the other for not wanting it , asking too much ect ect ect . And in the meantime look for the lower tear opponent they can beat easy , while even then avoiding the better half of the lower tear such as Ortiz , and after he does a demo job in his next fight Joe Joyce will be added to the avoid list . And was it suprising HELL NO , has soon has they started postponing the purse bids , you knew something was in the air .
Need the organizations to now grow balls , and ORDER mandatorys , with purse bids and start stripping these guys , , Tyson signed another contract to get out of his purse bid with Wilder , fine NEXT , and shove him to the back of the que,, Boxing is'nt thriving , the money for the certain few is growing , but for the rest the game still stinks , and the only ones who can sort it are the bodies in charge . . They really have to take it by the balls and enforce the top guys meet each other or get dropped out of rankings and stripped .
What a load of bollocks its all become , and too be honest , looking at it , to me it does seem AJ is the only one, wanting to make the fights happen , he has offered 60-40 , Hearn has gone on record saying the winner of Wilder -Fury can command and get 50-50 , so what do they do , Tyson scuppers a Wilder fight and a AJ fight for a 80 million 5 fight deal , when lets have it right , playing guesswork here because i don'y have the info but at a guess i would say not signing up for this deal and it would be
Tyson -Wilder ,, probably about $25 mill each ,
Winner -- AJ at 60 -40 got to be $40 mill ,,,,, Rematch at 50-50
probably , 50 mill each
Plus someone is going to be UNDISPUTED champ of the world with all the belts .
Alls i can say is thank fook for streaming and u tube , they won't be getting any of my hard earned , NO ppv for me to watch them belt a harmless pudding , I am hoping that Whyte or Joshua or Ortiz , are given a go land the hail mary punch , and ko the fook out of any of these three

It's amazing how far he has come in the last couple of years when most of us had written off his chance of ever returning to the ring let alone making this sort of impact.

Whats the chances of the WBO belt becoming vacant for Fury to fight for any time soon?

Re: Tyson Fury to be co-promoted by Top Rank
Terrible news for the fans, leaving the heavyweight division with three champions on three separate networks: a complete cluster f**k
Basically each promoter has consolidated the chance of making him self a load of money, by putting his fighter in run-of-the-mill fights and avoiding the big fights the fans want.
Fury will now lineup against some hopeless bum leaving old Fr**k smiling like a Cheshire Cat. Well played by the old goat but the fans are now fucked.
We can now look forward to even more endless PPVs over here with Chisora and whyte and David Price getting banjoed on the undercard.

Do has i will do , DON'T BUY THEM , until they fight each other , stream them , u tube them but DON'T BUY THEM , They do make it easy to not buy , simply because , if its a fight i don't want to miss , ala Wilder -AJ ect , i will not risk a stream stuffing up so i buy , but the gimmee fights , well , who cares .jamamb wrote: ↑18 Feb 2019, 16:33 to me its just like, bob arum seems exactly the type who would want to get some easy paydays out of fury on espn before putting him back in with such a ko threat
if ppl actually want the rematch that bad, it can still be there
maybe im misjudging, but i dont see how an immediate rematch isnt seriously in jepordary by this
Re: Tyson Fury to be co-promoted by Top Rank
Regardless of who fights who and when, does anyone believe these fights will happen in the UK.
The yanks are starting to warm to the heavyweight situation, due mostly to big Tyson, and that's where the money will be.
Do team Joshua or team Tyson fight in the UK for £2 million at Wembley , or £4 million in Las Vegas/ Madison Square Garden? Yes you've got it.
It's 5am on Sunday morning chaps for the foreseeable future ( and the PPV price will slowly rise)

Big casino money will make an impact
Re: Tyson Fury to be co-promoted by Top Rank
I have been a massive supporter of the whole Fury story since the signing of the first Wilder fight, and posted shite on AJ and how he has been left floundering around trying to find a fight.
But damn, this is complete bollox. If team AJ had done this, we would be ripping them a new arse so why let Fury off? Yeah is a big commercial deal, earns him lots, make him big in the market etc etc but, damn, we wanted the Wilder fight next, then roll the big stiff bodybuilder up next.
Poor show. Fury says he is a fighting man, it is not about money, he does not need the money, he will give it all to a homeless tramp......then signs a deal which is not helping the fights fans want. Inconsistent with what he says.

Re: Tyson Fury to be co-promoted by Top Rank
The most money all involved can make is by all 3 fighting each other at somepoint......
All the bullsh**t aside,tv deals, promotional companies, promoters, all that aside, all the money men& the fighters themselves know that their biggest paydays will come by entertaining each other.....
Who's with who shouldlnt come into it,yeah a few stumbling blocks may crop up,but nothing that should outright stop a fight, and I'm talking about boxing in general here
It's a f**king promotional company ffs,it's not impossible to get past if you REALLY want to make a fight & make a lucrative deal come about.....
So cos ones with one promotional company & fights on one channel means he can't fight the other cos he's with another outfit?come on......I'm aware "it's not that simple", and "there's more to it" but I'm sick of it,its the behind the scenes posturing that makes these deals a lot harder than they need to be,

Fwankie says it's all good.
But it ain't.
The reality of Wilder Fury 2 next, or soon, drifts further away.
With the ABC's, the managers, the advisors, the promoters, the TV and Internet outlets, I wonder how any fight actually gets made.
They are worse than maggots on a fly blown sheep's arse.

Fwankie says relax!
A real amusing part of all this is people have been believing anything that comes out of Fwankies mouth. He’s every bit a bullshitter as Eddie is. If not more so as he’s been doing it longer!
Basically this gives them the excuse to milk their career now. Some say fair play. You won’t get many people interested in Fury vs Takam/Breazeale/Bryan though. If he’s decided to go another route, I hope Fury doesn’t decide to go with the third tier of challengers.
I’d be ok with any of Whyte, Ortiz, Povetkin, Usyk, Parker. At least fighters with a bit of ambition left and who have something that might make it competitive. The Chisora, Takam, Helenius types can do one.

AJ is 29, Fury is 30, they will fight one day, they are young for heavyweights compared to the recent elite guys - Lewis, V. Klitschko, W. Klitschko.
Wilder is 33, he's the guy happy to make the fights happen now, as seen by fighting Ortiz and Fury last year. But he can't complain too much given how he handled his career before 2018.
AJ started his career taking risks (Whyte, Martin, Wlad) but now he has three belts he has started talking about Floyd Mayweather being an example to fighters of how to manage your career. We know how that goes.
Fury brings all the fighting man talk but now he's got a sniff of the big money he's happy to sign-up with Arum and Warren to play their old promotional games and will act like the decisions are out of his hands.

Re: Tyson Fury to be co-promoted by Top Rank
I'd say neither if them guys were rusks. Before Whyte fought Aj he was basically a nobody on the heavyweight scene. Martin was an absolute joke and they basically bought a title. He faced Wlad quite early in his career but remember this is an old Wlad 18 months out from a defeat to Fury. I'd say that was his only risk so far. Unfortunately the division is weak as far as world level fighters gobruthead wrote: ↑22 Feb 2019, 12:53 AJ is 29, Fury is 30, they will fight one day, they are young for heavyweights compared to the recent elite guys - Lewis, V. aj certanly began his career far more ambitiously then any other hw around now. a few months ago he was #1 on boxrec (and pretty much every where) yet had the least time pro of any top 25 rated fighter.half the time pro of wilder and fury but look at his depth.
and risk varies by person, when your as good as him there arent many super risky opponents

Martin was no risk except to himself. Whyte was a bit of a risk, as he is for any heavyweight. Not a great threat, but a risk.Wa1nuts wrote: ↑22 Feb 2019, 14:16He did progress quicker but I wouldn't say Martin or Whyte were risks in the slightestjamamb wrote: ↑22 Feb 2019, 13:39 aj certanly began his career far more ambitiously then any other hw around now. a few months ago he was #1 on boxrec (and pretty much every where) yet had the least time pro of any top 25 rated fighter.half the time pro of wilder and fury but look at his depth.

Re: Tyson Fury to be co-promoted by Top Rank
Martin was a calculated risk at the time. Proved to be useless but on paper an unbeaten, 6 foot 5 southpaw with a big knockout percentage and a world champion. If it wasn't for the belt you don't face that kind of opponent in your 16th fight as a heavyweight prospect.
Of course Whyte was a risk, a guy who has gone on to be a top 5 heavyweight, who can punch, they were both inexperienced then and Whyte held an amateur win over Joshua. Lots of fighters would avoid that kind of opponent with only a British title at stake, Fury and Price never met at that stage.
