Sorry babe, I come from the Old Boot... to me calling anybody "black" or "white" would be more offensive than "brown" or "pink", which are our actual colors... I don't mean to play Borat, I mean that all I know about the word "Nigga" with an -A (not nìgger like kkk... in fact the word "Nigga" is not even considered offensive by the Boxrec software), is rappers calling each other that way without meaning no pun, so I thought it worked the same for anyone else, and I obviously meant no pun by writing that down (claiming I meant pun, now that could be racist, perhaps).

I reckon there's some racial tension around, and if you can't defeat something, at least you can pull a joke or two about it.

I obviously didn't mean to call anyone a nìgger for real (it's not even allowed by Boxrec)... but if you believe that my post could be manipulated, or that it's off topic somehow, for reasons you might know better, I'm gonna edit it with no problem, I don't wanna start a flame. Anyway, mind that it's not my problem more than it is anyone else's problem. It's like 50-50. :maybe:

Anyway, I've always trusted people's sense of humour: the more you do, the less you get hurt. So, if anyone's got an ounce of sense of humour, might understand I meant no offense: if someone take "offense" with obvious bad intentions, it's 50-50 anyway, so I'm ready to edit it, but I won't repent of it, because I meant no offense, and if you don't mean to sin, you can't sin.

P.S. you might report that to moderators and see what happens: I'm curious as you are, perhaps. Really.

Anyway, as you might have guessed, this is some kind of a social experiment, I'm doing: reaching out by saying the word "Nigga" in a light context, at lower-risk, and see what happens, before I might call someone "Nigga" in public, or perhaps in a higher-risk context.
I've been mumbling about this for a while, now, so I caught the opportunity, and I'm not really sure about how this issue really works, so I'm both trying to test the waters, and to break the ice: you know, run with the hare, and hunt with the hounds. ;-)

I also checked the Urban Dictionary and found very discordant opinions:

2. "Nìgger"=offensive; "Nigga"=not offensive.

6. As defined by the movie Poolhall Junkies, a "nigga" is simply a friend or "homie" as opposed to "nìgger" which is a derogatory name for a black person. Nigga can be used by people of all races as long everyone is ok with it.

So, this is what I'm trying to understand: perhaps anyone else might be, more or less, as confused as I am, so I guess that, in this very context, it's relatively safe to sit back and see what happens. Let it be. I know I might not survive this day anyway, so why bother?
I think this situation can be worthy, cos I might learn something.

I would rather see Willis Reed, Wes Unseld, or Dennis Rodman fight Roberto Duran, especially the third choice, that would be a spectacle :OhYes: .
