Meh.. He was pretty much retired anyhow. One fight in 4 years. He was one of the best, but not one of my favorite.

Re: MMA
Depends what you like doesn't it.khabib is a great fighter, and he matches up great with Ferguson, I'd like to see that fight more simply cos Ferguson deserves it & it's about f**king time it happens
But I think in terms of viewing & what goes down ferguson-Holloway makes a deadly fight

Re: MMA
I think scarface might walk through max. No doubt it would be brutal, just think max has very little chance where khabitch could definitely win.

Re: MMA
It does depend. I don't see Khabib-Tony being the epic stand up war a fight with Holloway would make. Many of the purests may very well prefer Khabib. But, most fans overall prefer a great stand war rather than watching the intricacies of one guy whose main focus is jockeying for a position to take the other guy down. I, personally, have been waiting for Khabib-Tony for a very long time. And while Tony deserves it more than anyone, Holloway is still the funner fight.Oiky wrote: ↑21 Feb 2019, 20:11Depends what you like doesn't it.khabib is a great fighter, and he matches up great with Ferguson, I'd like to see that fight more simply cos Ferguson deserves it & it's about f**king time it happens

Re: MMA
That's it mate 100% agree.khabib is a chain wrestler isnt he & would shoot & shoot & shoot til he gets him,I do like & appreciate grappling,it's very affective & can be brutal, but like you say Holloway is the funner fight, they would beat the f**k out of each other and have a great battleImpractical Poster wrote: ↑21 Feb 2019, 20:19It does depend. Khabib/Ferguson needs to happen. I'm sick of all these stupid interim titles. The UFC is slowly wrecking everything that made it more appealing than boxing.
Re: MMA
I agree there, they don't want to keep going down the route there going down when it comes to fights & titlesjujigatame wrote: ↑21 Feb 2019, 23:39 Khabib/Ferguson needs to happen. Rousey was definitely up there. I'm pretty indifferent to the other two. Definitely prefer them to khabib.Blodhemn wrote: ↑22 Feb 2019, 00:04McGregor, Rousey, Jones... to name a few. Don't mind mcgregor or jones, get a bit sick of the bulls**t surrounding jones but definitely out of them three rousey is the most aggravatingOnetimeonly wrote: ↑22 Feb 2019, 08:45Rousey was definitely up there. Re: MMA
It really annoys me to no end that ESPN stopped showing a full mma schedule since they signed the UFC.

Re: MMA
I guess because they paid the UFC a billion and a half. The problem with that is they still cover fights outside the UFC with articles and the UFC televises other orgs on fight pass!Oiky wrote: ↑22 Feb 2019, 09:46Why would they do thatOnetimeonly wrote: ↑22 Feb 2019, 09:33 It really annoys me to no end that ESPN stopped showing a full mma schedule since they signed the UFC.![]()

Re: MMA
That seems very silly. Not sure how they can call themselves the worldwide leader in sports if they are only showing a UFC schedule on their MMA page... It's pushing people to other outlets.Onetimeonly wrote: ↑22 Feb 2019, 14:02I guess because they paid the UFC a billion and a half. I'm so bored that I emailed the concern to them. Told them that to find out when events for other MMA organizations such as Bellator, Rizen, One FC, etc... are, I am being forced to visit other sites to get that info.Onetimeonly wrote: ↑22 Feb 2019, 14:42It's effing stupid.Impractical Poster wrote: ↑22 Feb 2019, 14:41That seems very silly. I'll bet it's in the contract. Some casual sports fans are already confused with the difference between UFC and MMA. And now calling the schedule an MMA schedule while only showing UFC... wow
I've got way too much time on my hands today.

Definitely does. Not something I'd expect from ESPN.
