I may disagree with Paddy, but his statement wasn't idiotic. :shame:

Super fights to me are Leonard vs Duran or hagler vs Hearns ,ATGs fighting each other while near their prime.

Yeah, I remember it was dubbed as the fight of the Millennium but the fight was nothing to remember except for the decision that somehow didn't convince everyone Tito won.

For me Ward-Kovalev I falls in that category.

Spence v Garcia is an excellent matchup but it can’t be called a super fight just because of the ridiculous height difference - it just looks odd & no wonder they’re keeping them well apart at the press conferences because it looks like Spence is picking on the little guy.

No one thought mayweather vs Canelo was a superfight. All the cards were with Canelo

i think the past few years fights for me . Ward v Kovalev, saul v ggg , fury v wilder, but was froch v ward ? not sure , mayweather v pacquiao ? past its date or joe calzaghe v jones not sure was jones seen as semi retired. its funny though as i diddnt see usyk v bellew as a super fight
i would say Garcia vs Spence is a super fight . 2 top champions fighting at there peak thats what super fight is. i think that is

Floyd was definitely the favourite vs Canelo. You'd probably have to go back as far as Corrales for a fight in which he wasn't the favourite.

A super fight is what I’d define as two of the best in the world, going head to head.
Usyk vs AJ, Fury vs Wilder, AJ vs either of those two
The eventual two best LHW’s meeting
Smith (arguably the no.1 smw) vs Canelo or GGG
Spence vs Crawford
Garcia vs Loma

I could go on but it’s regardless of hype and popularity, though very rarely does a p4p top fighter go without popularity.
