He is the epitome of Ali imitating Foreman before the fight in Zaire.
He actually is. In fact, he makes foreman look like Ali

Stiverne Can punch so Joe has shown a good chin thank God _ he will need one with that robotic style - but he doesn’t want to get caught bolt upright like that too many times...

On the positive side at least JJ is getting the rounds in that he needs to get if he's serious about moving up several levels

Referee has done Stiverne and everyone a favour there.

I think its not a terrible 8th fight. Gets him some WBA ranking points, and it is a step up [although not sure how] from his previous 7 opponents.

Fatigue ended that fight. Dave Allan would have been a better test

I just don't get it. This is boxing, a sport where you can get hurt seriously. Stiverne obviously hasn't trained, why would you put yourself in such danger of a serious life changing injury.

Slo-Joe is limited and won't get any better. I've been saying that for the longest time. Nice enough guy, but he is seriously one-dimensional.

Good thing for Joyce that Stiverne trains at the fast food restaurant.

Could’ve printed a picture of stiverene on a punch bag had someone carry it around for eight rounds

I think joe will be one of those fighters that will prove better than the sum of his parts. Kind of like bellew. Where they look simple to beat from outside. But for me he deserved that gold (a damn sight more than AJ) so he must know a thing or two.

At least the punch bag would have lasted the full 12...

I couldn't disagree more. Joyce is as good as he'll get and it's not very good.

The volume of punches is his asset. Fighting JJ would be like trying to swat that stubborn bee 🐝 that won’t leave your ice cream alone on a summers day. You just can’t get into your usual ice cream licking rhythm.

JJ's defense frightening porous. Okay, he proved he can take a punch but he will be taking more than an occasional counter if he moves up. I hope he does it but I don't think he has left himself enough time.
