Mark Prince's son murdered?

Reports are saying the devastated father of Kiyan Prince, the London schoolboy stabbed to death yesterday, is a boxer called Mark.

BBC -

A football club has paid tribute to one of its youth team members who was stabbed to death outside his school.
Kiyan Prince, 15, described as "one for the future" by Queens Park Rangers, was attacked outside the London Academy in Edgware, north London, on Thursday.

Pupils and staff walked past floral tributes as they returned to the school on Friday.
Police, who have stepped up patrols in Edgware, said Kiyan was in an argument with 16-year-old boy who then ran off.

The school's principal Phil Hearne said Kiyan's family are "devastated" by his death.
Teachers saw Kiyan, who played as a striker for QPR's youth team, collapse and immediately contacted the police, who arrived within a minute, Mr Hearne said.

Head of youth at Championship club QPR Joe Gallen said: "It's a tragic loss to Queens Park Rangers Football Club, but more so to his family and friends.

"He was a great lad, a terrific prospect, and it's a huge setback for everyone that knew him.

"He was an intelligent, smart, good-looking young man with a very bright future in the game and he'll be sorely missed."

QPR chairman Gianni Paladini said: "It's a sad day.

"He was one of our brightest young talents and the way he went about his business was a credit to himself and his family."

Kiyan was found by an officer at 1535 BST, a short distance from the school in Stamford Court, on Kings Drive, a Scotland Yard spokesman said.

Read that in the Evening Standard today. I can't think of any other pros called Mark Prince, so I assume it's the ex WBO light-heavyweight title challenger from Tottenham. It's very upsetting. Kiyan had everything to live for. Apparently he was involved in a playfight with a Somalian kid who'd been expelled from the school, and the lad pulled out a knife and stabbed him.

Condolences to Mark & his family.

Very sad, it should be an arrestable offence to carry a knife on you in public... instaed of chasing car drivers for speeding over 30 the Police should direct their resources to the shocking violent crime that is happening all the time now in this country...

I'm about to lose my licence because of these stupid laws and traps catching motorists, yet the real crimes are just being ignored.
I was on a train once when a group of Somalians mugged an asian lad and you could hear him say "can someone help me please". the train was full and no-one moved. They were terrified - as was I.

Horrible news. Mark is only 37, so this will hit him particularly badly. You know, I was only thinking about another hard-hitting middleweight the other day, Val Golding, whose own son was killed in a car accident.
Sadly, Val is a broken man.

Yeah, people like that are running riot while you or me can be fined £80 for dropping a crisp in the street!. When people are caught for things like mugging and burglary they are usually let off with community service!... Blairs Britain!...

Right - but most people are against stop and search, which would be a good method of finding knives.......

This country is going down the drain. Silkov. We pay ruthlessly high taxes, pay our way in society, obey the law and for what? So some scummy illegal immigrants can flood our country, break all the laws, drive without insurance etc and we get fucked by the very government that are supposed to be here to help. Somalians are particularly ruthless. They come from a war-torn country where death, murder etc are a normal way of life. Over here, if they are in a confrontational situation, they'll react very violently and will think nothing of perhaps taking someone's life. They're now in a country where life is cherished, and where people have certain values and beliefs. Sadly, such a situation happened the other day.

Very frightening.

Well I think stop and search is a good idea if its used on the right people and not abused... but the trouble is that Police have abused it so much in the past with their unique mix of bigotry and kackhandedness.... scanners in school is a good idea, there are a lot of knives being taken into schools and scanners would go a certain way to rooting this out... also much tougher sentences.....

Thats awful. Mark was a good fighter back in the day, I enjoyed his very spirited attempt against Michalczewski. May his son RIP.

The government dictate punishment levels for offenses
The government decide who comes in to this country seeking asylum (which was the main point i was making ie if it was a somalian who did it)

This is horriffic not just because he was a fighters son but because it is another life taken on our streets, our heartfelt sympathys go out to Mark and his family.

Bennie hon with regard to my lovely beautiful Val, sadly he passed away 3 years ago hon, from your post I believe you didnt know so thought I would tell you.

interesting comment about people coming to britain from places where violence and corruption and theft and rape and where the degrading treatment of women and gays and minorities of all kinds (we are all minorities) is a normal everyday way of life. and we expect them to behave like us????

How do you know it was always going to happen??.... its not like Prince was a gang member or troublemaker... so how do you reach that conclusion?.... also I'll be as patronising as I want if you're going to continue making such silly statements and assumptions... though obviously if you are indeed 'close to Westminster' then its in your interests to try and wring your hands and say that the government has nothing to do with the shocking rise in violent crime in this country... I would expect nothing less from your sort...

How exactly was it "always going to happen"?

Was it because "Westminster" has turned this country from one that offers a sanctuary to genuine refugees into a one that is now a net importer of crime?

Or was it because "Westminster" and the left wing judiciary they have appointed are soft on criminals?

If we had a proper use of Stop & Search and a decent jail term for anyone found carrying an offensive weapon maybe we wouldn't have 60,000 knives (ITV News) on the streets. More likely a caution, and then a law suit from the perp because his "human rights tro carry a weapon" had been infringed.

Intersting point here.

I live in Leicester which you may or may not be aware is a VERY multi-cultural city with a massive asian community.

Anyway I have many friends and work collegues who are of 1st, 2nd generation UK/Indian or Pakistan blood.

Even some of them have or are seriously thinking of voting for the BNP next time.

I dont want to move this thread away from its original intention, that of a young and talented boy who lost his life at the hands of an immoral coward...

However KOJoe makes a very interesting point..

I am first generation immigrant and I detest the governments stance on immigration..

It was different in my parents day... People from the Commonwealth came to the UK looking to better their life BY HARD WORK. They took the jobs others didnt want to do, worked damn hard and made a success of themselves.

People like Lennox Lewis, Naseem Hamed, Chris Eubank, Nigel Benn... all their parents came to the UK and worked damn hard...

If immigrants do that there is no problem, they have a tremendous positive effect on society... On a saturday night we can go for a curry, go to a dancehall rave, go get some curried goat and dumplings.... whatever......

These days it would seem most of the immigrants are free loaders coming here for the freebies which UK government offer them. Making no effort to integrate into society...

A lot of the countries where they are claiming political asylum from have only "minor" problems now....yet the government are still being taking for a ride by those who "risk death if they are deported".... The somalian who killed the police woman in yorkshire was granted indefinate leave because he gave a sob story about about how his life was in danger if he went back to somalia....However when things get a bit hot over here and he is wanted for murder, suddenly Somalia isnt that dangerous and he is straight back over there....

I would also like to add my sympathy to the Prince family they must be going through the very worst king of heart breaking hell right now.

I used to enjoy watching Mark Prince fight, he was a good puncher and gutsy fighter I hope his fighting spirit enables him to cope with this horrible time.

Here here. The existing government has fucked the country, they are all crooked, Prescott, Blunkett Mandleson, Byers they are a bunch of wankers.

The sooner they are out the better.
