The night Cosell went quiet. Cobb later said that if the fight had gone 20 rounds, he'd have worn Holmes out.

I think it was last year Cobb said, "I didn't lose the fight. I just lost the first fifteen rounds." It's interesting to think who really would be the champions of the world if all fights were 50 or even 100 rounds. Jim Jeffries may be considered the greatest heavyweight ever under such guidelines.

I always felt if you want to try to understand Johnson v Willard, just watch this fight and ask yourself what would the action have been like come the 26th round; would Holmes go the way of Johnson; could Cobb, like Willard take that kind of punishment for another 11 rounds?

Are you really quoting him from last year? I've been wondering what he's up to lately. He was one of my favorites, a very intelligent and humorous guy. He became a movie star too. Last I heard he graduated from college. He used to have a website but it's gone now. Once his ex wife showed up on one of these boxing forums and even she liked him!

Was on a Facebook post from last year, a video of him saying it.

I found his FB page, but it looks like he hasn't posted in almost two years.

It's a really old quote, but Cobb has likely repeated it over the years.

I remember an interview with Cobb where called his fight with Holmes a bad decision.

He said the decision to take the fight was one of the worst decisions in boxing history.

The guy always had a hood sense of humor
