You think he should sign with Arum moving foward?
No, he should stay free and pray for an aj fight. If he gets and wins that he can fight fury without signing with arum. Legacy is important to deontay.
I don't believe this for one second. Wilder is 33 and 41 fights in. There has been zero evidence that Wilder has being trying to secure any legacy at all so far.

I came on here saying why is AJ calling out Wilder instead of Fury? He should be calling out Fury  . Why I M not in charge? :maybe:

Wilder isn't contractually-tied to a network and also possesses the WBC title, whereas Fury is contracted to ESPN and doesn't possess any title, other than the mythical lineal championship.

AJ-Wilder is an easier bout to make than AJ-Fury.

I think based on the 'negotiations' over the last 6-12 months that's not remotely true. Plus AJ is signed up the DAZN, which also conflicts with Showtime, which Wilder is signed up with.

All three match ups are now exponentially more difficult to make. That doesn't even take into account BT and Sky in the UK.

You don't bother me at all. I find it amusing that you follow me around. Once you come to grips with the facts that you're obsessed with deontay wilder you can start to heal.

In terms of broadcasters, Wilder is a free agent. He doesn't have a contract with Showtime. He is a PBC fighter though, which means that by proxy of his relationship with Al Haymon, Fox or Showtime are by default his "home" networks, but he's not legally obliged to work with those networks.

In fact, as recently as two days ago, Eddie Hearn stated that he'd like to speak with the "free agent" Deontay Wilder, to get him to sign with DAZN, as per Daniel Jacobs (who is also affiliated with Al Haymon).

If you don't believe me, Deontay Wilder clearly stated that he was a "free agent" and was even willing to compete on ESPN (if the price was right) to face Tyson Fury.

In fact, I can't think of a single fighter that has an exclusive contract with Showtime.

Fury avoids a rematch. Again. Good. Now Wilder has nowhere else to go if he wants his slice of the pie.

AJ v Wilder for late 2019. Who's Fury?

Ok I'll add my thoughts but it'll probably be too long for you to read anyway.

Obviously as a fan it sucks even if it is karma in it's way. I guess Fury will do what is best for himself and the ESPN deal is pretty impossible to walk away from.

No doubt Wilder will fight Breazeale or Kownacki. Bad luck on Whyte but he might be well advised to go after the one that Wilder doesn't fight. They are both well within Whyte's capabilities and gets him nearer to where he wants to be.

Hopefully this might mean a Joshua v Wilder fight isn't as far away as we feared now the Wilder Fury alliance has crashed on the rocks.

That's complete and utter crap. I come on here to enjoy the companionship of people who share my passion. I am not blessed by friends and family members who are anything more than extreme casuals, so I value and respect nearly everyone of this board and try to make that apparent. I've had a great many differences of opinion with all the regulars and continue to enjoy a friendly and healthy relationship.

I have only found three people on boxrec where disagreements were frequent and less than cordial. It's no accident that you head the list. You don't come on here for any reasons that I relate to. You seem determined to pick fights and sow discord. You shy away from debate and use emojis to belittle and pour scorn in an effort to big yourself up.

I objected vociferously when I heard you had been banned from the forum. I got some support but mainly criticism for sticking my oar in without knowing the facts. You can be certain if it happens again in the future my silence is assured.
