He was sort of an old school fighter as far as the number of professional fights he had during his boxing career 1978-1988.
74 fights in less then 10 years.

Juan Domingo Roldan had twice fought previously on the same fight card as Marvin Hagler defending his Middleweight belt.
Roldan vrs Wilber Henderson(Hagler vrs Sibson)
Roldan vrs Teddy Mann. (Hagler vrs Sypion)
neither of these fights were part of the live HBO broadcasts but I was wondering
if HBO had taped them anyway
perhaps to show high-lights in between rounds ?

As an 11 year old I thought he was at least odds on against Hagler....I know now that I was impressionable, but that's how good he was! And his shellacking of Frank Fletcher gave me that impression!

I always enjoyed his fights. Another guy who could be a champion in this era of fractured titles. Gave Hearns a right scare!

I believe he fought James Kinchen on the Hagler-Leonard undercard also April 6 1987.

The Roldan vrs Kitchen fight was only shown on the live 'Pay-per-View" version of Hagler vrs Leonard
and not a week later when HBO repeated the fight.

"Martillo" Roldan's 69th pro fight-April 1987.

In his day, there were only three "major" WBS titles instead of the four we have now. Those were the days. :D
