povetkin vs hunter is actually pretty interesting too though, i can see hunter winning that
always thought for a guy with such a good amateur career hunter had gone under the rader, so glad tosee the recent boost in his career, hes good and brings a unique style
Agreed, I'd bet on hunter .
I thought Hunter showed relatively well v Usyk until the last round. He has been on a good run at heavy. Usyk v Takam and Povetkin v Hunter would be a nice card.
I’m kind of lukewarm about the prospect of Usyk potentially making his heavyweight debut against a past-his-prime veteran like Takam, who is merely a half-decent out-of-form fringe contender.
I can’t think of any top-ten world-rated fighters that Takam has actually beaten. For sure, he came close against Chisora, but he was naïve and got rope-a-doped against a stylistically-limited slugger. The Frenchman also looked deeply unimpressive during his most recent outing and seemed 20lbs overweight in that bout.
To many people, an opponent like Takam kind of makes sense from a sporting perspective, but the Frenchman represents a significant drop in class for Usyk. He’s a safe opponent that who’ll play the role of the sacrificial lamb in order to enhance the Ukraine’s highlight reel.
For the record, I’m not really bothered about Usyk facing Takam, since I understand the reasons why this fight has been made - it kind of makes sense, but I won’t be able to give Oleksandr lots of praise for beating a man that was hand-picked to lose… and lose spectacularly.

Here's a question. How do you select the alias that you use at any given time?

the only guys ive seen hurt pov lately are both much bigger punchers then usyk, usyk will outbox him i think but not level him
Oh I dunno, Povetkin was hurt plenty the last time he fought a cruiserweight. I think Usyk will stop him.
When did Povetkin ever fight at cruiserweight? He has always been the same weight ever since he started as a pro in 2005, low 220s, up to 232 on rare occasions. Unlike the american and british dopers who put on muscular weight very quickly. But I also think Usyk will win .
I never said he fought as a cruiserweight, I said he fought a cruiserweight, which he did in Huck.
OK got it, tho Huck was fighting as a heavy in that one. 209 1/2 I see.
210 is probably what he rehydrates to as a cruiser.
I heard Povetkin or Takam for May 18. Takam does nothing for Usyk and is a far cry from Pov. Whyte is an interesting thought now that he's lost the AJ fight and apparently Breazeale as well as Dominic is most likely heading for a fight with Wilder.

It's the Matchroom way.
Start the teasing with Povetkin, then Takam and Parker.
