Boxrec database shows George LaBlanche (ID #040223) v Billy Layton (ID #062409) ended with a Layton victory in Round 7 (bout ID=183030). The Referee issue from Dec 6th, 1893 indicates the end came in Round 11.

All day after newspaper reports that I checked -- maybe 5 different -- all reported 7 round bout. So we should stick with that pending further proof.
