The kid made a statement. Showed some new wrinkles, but far from what he describes himself as. Says he's on the cusp of the big boys. No, not yet.

Conjanu went 12 rounds with Parker. I think this win says a lot about what sort of power Dubois is wielding.

Nice finish by Dubois!! He's not ready for the bog boys yet but at 21 with only 10 pro fights he is clearly one of the best HW prospects on the horizon!!

Gorman was pretty explosive and hard-hitting, so after seeing his fight against Cojanu going the distance I didn't expect Dubois-Cojanu fight to be too short. But Dubois performed well, he made some openings with changing levels and battered Cojanu quickly.

He’ll be ready in 3/4 fights I reckon.

Might still be a bit too early though, once the step up is made, it’s hard to go back. He’s so young, just get him experience against all sorts over the next 2-3 years, gradual step ups.

Another great step up for Dubois. I am impressed with the patience Warren is showing with this kid (and Anthony Yarde).

I think he'll walk through Nathan Gorman but I don't want to see it. Both young prospects, neither needs it right now, certainly not Gorman with so many slow less dangerous heavyweights out there for the picking. Right now, the one opponent who will eventually end both their careers is firmly on their side.

I think Gorman should follow the Fury route, whilst Daniel could take out any of the veterans ranked outside the top 15 or so. It's a tough division right now but who knows what's happening in the next 24 months or so?

Or it says a lot about what sort of power Parker DON'T have.

Fair point. Parker hasn't wrecked anyone of real note. Steps up and loses or Decision wins. Good callout.

some big power but he was wide open and cojanu was always going to flop in a few rounds.

dubois needs to step up...fights like this are pointless

I like Dubois but he’s extremely stiff. Robotic, slow with no head movement, I understand he likes to stalk his opponents on the front foot but it’s all about how much he and his opponent can withstand in that scenario.

Dubois vs Joyce would be like watching slow motion.

agreed. He's still a baby, but I keep hoping we see some more fluidity in his movement. Not happening. At least not yet, but I'm getting less hopeful that DDD's ceiling is much higher.

Well, at least if he gets to that contender level we could have some great fights down the line!

Yup. Looking forward to all the HW prospects making moves. Freshen up the top 10!

Considering he's only 21 and didn't have much of an amateur career he's coming along great and he's got serious power!

He would - fun fight though. Dubious is so much more natural. The commentators of this fight described Dubious as heavy handed and that in time he’ll become sharper and more snappier with his punches. Couldn’t agree more - he’s a solid and natural puncher imagine him refining it. Hopefully he sticks to it and stays motivated.

After impressive weekend performances by DDD and Ajagba I am getting even more optimistic about the newer HW prospects!!
