Being a multi weight champion is largely meaningless these days.

It would only mean something if resume involved victories over the best fighters in stacked divisions.

As we all know, you can be a world champion without actually being champion of the world (just ask the WBA for details).

Being undisputed champion is a far better achievement, especially if you clean out a stacked division like 147, for example.

I rather favor the one true champ of one division, than one of many at 3 different divisions.

Quick! How many titles are there in boxing today?

The answer? Who cares? Titles now are totally meaningless to fans. Boxers love walking around with eight or ten belts hanging off them, but fans don't even know half of the pros out there. Fighting once a year doesn't help.
