Wilder's DAZN Deal.
Wilder's DAZN Deal.
Two fights: $25 million each.
Separate negotiations for two fight deal vs Joshua in 2020 (second fight based on rematch clause) if Wilder wins both fights above.
Can't see why he wouldn't take it. There's a Showtime counter coming.
(EDIT) New Article just came out:

Usyk, whyte & definitely old klitschko as opponents would all fornicate him up. That said he should definitely take the deal: first, last & only time he would get the really big bucks.

Re: Wilder's DAZN Deal.
I dont understand why Joshua cant be next? They dont need to build it. Wilder gets nothing from KTFO out of Whyte, old Klit or a cruiserweight.
Re: Wilder's DAZN Deal.
mans its a good time to be a high level boxer with dazn around, and we thought haymon over paid
25mil a fight not even for vs aj
and gggs getting like 8 figures per on his deal
and of course canelo around
and then i guess espn+ too, furys supposedly getting a load too.

Re: Wilder's DAZN Deal.
Reconcile that with 30M for AJ/Miller. Everyone's a millionaire. Except me.jamamb wrote: ↑13 Mar 2019, 12:42 mans its a good time to be a high level boxer with dazn around, and we thought haymon over paid

Re: Wilder's DAZN Deal.
Didn't Mayweather Promotions sign Adrien Effin Broner to a $50 million deal last year?
So Wilder, the WBC heavyweight king, should be happy with the same amount of money even if it's over the course of fewer fights?
Maybe the champ should have a chat with Floyd instead of DAZN.

The Broner deal is misleading. It has been stated the 50 million is a maximum amount that could be madeSenorPipino wrote: ↑13 Mar 2019, 13:26 Didn't Mayweather Promotions sign Adrien Effin Broner to a $50 million deal last year?

Re: Wilder's DAZN Deal.
This deal will be fantastic for the division. The one fight everyone is crying out for just got a whole load more easy to make.
Re: Wilder's DAZN Deal.
Good move for Wilder. He was lucky, that Fury's team saved Wilder from losing his only belt to The Gypsy King. Now Wilder-Joshua seems to be much more real and this is a better chance for Deontay, as 4 belts will be on the line and Joshua is an easier target, than Fury.
Re: Wilder's DAZN Deal.
Fury, Wilder and AJ will not make it out of the next year/year and a half without at least one of them getting their first L from one of these
“easy mandatory” or “stay busy” fights.
Always a Buster or McCall or Golota waiting in the wings.
Still, that’s an awful lot of money to turn down to fight two fights against less than the best in the division.

Re: Wilder's DAZN Deal.
Sooner or later DAZN's backers are going to start asking questions. Somebody had better had done their sums right or else it will end in litigation and tears.
The great thing for us fans is that the DAZN are making these fighters sign away their freedom - freedom to avoid fights that is.
All good, the best thing to happen in boxing for years.

Let's not start kissing in the showers yet. Let's wait and see the actual matchups to fall into place.Thomastearns wrote: ↑13 Mar 2019, 15:54 Sooner or later DAZN's backers are going to start asking questions. Re: Wilder's DAZN Deal.
Haha give over. Joshua is not an easier target that anyone! They all pose very different threats to each other. Wilder has devastating power. Fury doesn't have the power to really trouble you, but he will outbox you for 12 rounds. Joshua has the balance between outstanding power and boxing ability.DrDuke wrote: ↑13 Mar 2019, 14:47 Good move for Wilder. I don't think anyone can honestly say they're confident one beats the other. Anyone that says they do, are only fooling themselves.
Re: Wilder's DAZN Deal.
100%. Wilder's power carries through whole fight. He's never out of it. Fury can be hit, as we saw in their fight in December. AJ is the only one we haven't yet seen against a top level fighter. Wlad was old, so let's not go there.Rob3_142 wrote: ↑13 Mar 2019, 18:28Haha give over. Joshua is not an easier target that anyone! They all pose very different threats to each other. Re: Wilder's DAZN Deal.
A press conference is being announced by Wilders team to announce something next week.
Re: Wilder's DAZN Deal.
Coppinger says the deal would be for Breazeale, Joshua and a Joshua rematch. 3 fights, 100 million dollars.
Re: Wilder's DAZN Deal.
Wilder is Dazn. Wilder is boxing.
Re: Wilder's DAZN Deal.
Why not go there? Joshua vs. Klitschko was one of the ATG heavyweight fights, and Klitschko performed very well. You may well reference his age at the time of the fight, but he was in prime physical condition, and got more experience at the top level you could possibly shake a stick at.oogiebe wrote: ↑13 Mar 2019, 18:39100%. If you cancel out the Klitschko win for Joshua as significant, you have to do the same for Fury, which was only 18 months previous, thus removing his lineal #1 spot.

Re: Wilder's DAZN Deal.
Klit is a legit win regardless of he was coming of a definitive points loss to Fury - I just hope the Ukrainian doesn't come out of retirement it will go against everything he writes in his self help booksRob3_142 wrote: ↑14 Mar 2019, 06:01Why not go there?
