Tevin Farmer vs Jono Carroll

Post by handsofstone »

Farmer defends his IBF Super Featherweight title against unbeaten Carroll this Friday on sky, 9 KOs between them surely this has distance written all over it, Farmer's been in good form since teaming up with Eddie, boxed well against Fonseca last time out and made him miss all night, I thought Carroll was a bit lucky to get away with the draw with Frenois last time he fought, wasn't his best performance

I'm hoping this doesn't end up too messy with neither really having that equaliser to hurt the other, Farmer likes his room to pick off his shots and sharp counters with the southpaw left hand while Carroll loves to get up close and have a scrap, he's not a puncher but is strong as an ox and has shown a good chin so far, hopefully there's not a lot of spoiling and we see a good contrast of styles

Carroll is a hard man to beat and his relentless aggression will keep Farmer on his toes but I think Farmer has that class to pick him off and make him miss, think it will be an ugly fight though

i dont think Farmer is all that. i certainly think he is a weak champion......sadly, much as i love King Kong...he is a weak challenger.

Farmer points for me

Farmer must be the hardest boxer to box, don't know where the fella is looking - looks like a jab but is check hook

Has to be a UD for Farmer here. Carroll tough and rugged but easily outboxed by a slicker operator which Farmer has proven to be, at least at this borderline "world" level anyway.

I could see a rare stoppage win for Farmer here. Just about levels: around round eight.

95-91 95-91 95-93

Sulecki,

Fair result I thought. Rosado won 1 round on my card going into the 9th, then had 2 knockdowns in the 9th and won the last.

Rosado got stuck on his arse twice earlier in the fight too.

Taylor wins by stoppage in the 9th.

Strange stoppage tho, Benji Esteves with another odd moment tonight. Taylor dominating then a very clear head clash which seems to break Volante’s nose, Estebes waves it off like its a stoppage.

If you don't have the power to stop someone with a fist I guess you can just ram a head in then.

Ridiculous. Adam Smith & Macklin are a fvcking joke.
constant growling &.... "The Female Lomachenko"

He’s going balls out but Farmers picking him off hard now. If I were to guess I’d say Farmers going to stop him here.
