We all know that Spence is a strong-skilled welter and both GGG and him beat Brook.

GGG would walk through Spence the same way he went through Brook. However, Spence is more defensively skilled than Brook, so it would last longer.

Spot on I’m still one of the ones who fancied brooks chances against spence if it wasn’t for the eye which spence needs credit for causing but I think sadly brook wasted too many years and we’ve missed the best of himapollo creed wrote: ↑17 Mar 2019, 10:15 We all know that Spence is a strong-skilled welter and both GGG and him beat Brook.

Well we all know that Brook had trouble to make 147 before he had to face GGG and I assume that the undefeated 160 lbs version of Brook was one of the best versions of him. Of course the beating next with the injury that GGG caused to Brook and then moving back down to 147 lbs soften up pretty much KB.craigjenkins05 wrote: ↑17 Mar 2019, 10:38Spot on I’m still one of the ones who fancied brooks chances against spence if it wasn’t for the eye which spence needs credit for causing but I think sadly brook wasted too many years and we’ve missed the best of himapollo creed wrote: ↑17 Mar 2019, 10:15 We all know that Spence is a strong-skilled welter and both GGG and him beat Brook.
Healthy -undefeated 147 lbs Brook vs recent Spence would be a 50-50 fight.

Yes, Brook wasted too many years fighting C+/B- fighters, but this was his mistake.craigjenkins05 wrote: ↑17 Mar 2019, 10:38Spot on I’m still one of the ones who fancied brooks chances against spence if it wasn’t for the eye which spence needs credit for causing but I think sadly brook wasted too many years and we’ve missed the best of himapollo creed wrote: ↑17 Mar 2019, 10:15 We all know that Spence is a strong-skilled welter and both GGG and him beat Brook.

Yes. Until Canelo no one was able to stand with GGG, not even the considerably bigger Danny Jacobs.boxing_rocks wrote: ↑17 Mar 2019, 10:33 GGG would walk through Spence the same way he went through Brook. However, Spence is more defensively skilled than Brook, so it would last longer.
How Canelo was able to do it still remains controversial to say the least. Fact is he remains the biggest name to be associated with PED use in an era where too many have been caught (and then allowed back in of course).
Will be interesting to see where Spence wants to go next. Can he keep making welterweight? Will he even fight again in 2019? Unless its Crawford will anyone want to see it?

Not a chance. I'm not sure he'd beat everyone at 154.

Canelo and GGG are already middleweight champions. Spence likely may not be able to clean out 154.Onetimeonly wrote: ↑17 Mar 2019, 16:49There is no chance he'll never be a middleweight champion.

That's not what I said. I could word it easier to read. That's not definite. He may not be able to beat Jarrett Hurd.Onetimeonly wrote: ↑17 Mar 2019, 21:20That's not what I said. I could word it easier to read. Maybe. But as of now, he hasn't proven he can beat a top opponent bigger than himself.Onetimeonly wrote: ↑17 Mar 2019, 21:46You'll see when he is.IKSRTFO wrote: ↑17 Mar 2019, 21:34That's not definite. He couldn't beat GGG for the same reason Mikey couldn't beat him. If you are sufficiently skilled you can beat a bigger man. Where a problem arises is when that bigger man is also sufficiently skilled.

There's an obvious reason why weight classes exist. Let's not pretend that "size doesn't matter".apollo creed wrote: ↑17 Mar 2019, 10:15 If this version of Spence would've been in Brook's place when he fought GGG @160lbs- WHAT OUTCOME ?

I firmly believe Brook knew he lost that fight when they squared up at the first press conference to announce the fight
In the head to head Spence muttered something in his ear along the lines of "not so big now" - or something along those lines
mental warfare is under rated but it turned out to be a good scrap !

Spence Jr. dominated Garcia. Canelo iced Amir Khan with one punch. Golovkin broke Brook’s face. Loma made Rigo quit.
There’s a pretty obvious theme here.

Spence is around the same height/size as Erislandy Lara.
Jarrett Hurd would make Spence look small. Spence is slightly smaller than the Charlos. While Canelo is shorter, he's huge in size compared to Spence. GGG is bigger also.
A big deal is made of how tall Spence is. He's 5'9 1/2, the same height as SRL and shorter than DLH and Trinidad.
