SPENCE vs PACQUAIO: Who Wins and How?
Looks like a fight that both men are interested in. Who wins between Errol Spence Jr and Manny Pacquiao?
Re: SPENCE vs PACQUAIO: Who Wins and How?
Pac sounded a bit uncertain when he said he'd be interested in fight with Spence. I can't imagine he'd take that fight.

Would be similar to the Mikey fight with Manny landing more than Mikey at the beginning and probably Manny's corner stopping the beating in late rounds.

obviously spence...weak fight for a killer
Re: SPENCE vs PACQUAIO: Who Wins and How?
Not sure who i’d Pick.... but one thing for sure is that it’s a “tricky” fight for “THE TRUTH”, WIN or LOSE, PAC gets through that one relatively unscathed. Given the “styles”, distance and difference in athleticism and speed, tough, TRICKY fight for Spence, WIN or LOSE.

A younger Manny yes, toughe to beat Spence at 40.
Re: SPENCE vs PACQUAIO: Who Wins and How?
Probably similar or worse than the Mike vs Spence fight. Though Manny has more experience as a Welter than Mike so maybe that would help him, but he is also much older than Spence as well.

Re: SPENCE vs PACQUAIO: Who Wins and How?
I'd want a psychological evaluation of Pacquiao after he signed to fight Spence.
He would have to be clinically insane or suicidal. He has zero chance

Re: SPENCE vs PACQUAIO: Who Wins and How?
The current version of Pacquiao would stand no chance against the prime version of Pacquiao, nor against Errol Spence.

No suSPENCE in this one. See what I did there?
Pac can still beat a lot of dudes. Spence surely ain’t one of them. Only Bud Crawford can potentially do that. Nobody else is beating this dude. He’s too damn good. Has no weakness.

Good play on words. I think you are probably right, but Spence-Pac is more likely to happen sooner just because of the promotional situation right now. As Crawford's promoter I see Arum holding out until he can get the best possible money for a fight with Spence.

Re: SPENCE vs PACQUAIO: Who Wins and How?
Errol Spence Jr. would beat Manny Pacquiao in a similarly brutal fashion as to how the ‘Pac Man’ destroyed the past-his-prime and weight-drained version of Oscar De La Hoya.
This fight won’t happen whilst there’s still a very remote chance of the PBC staging a highly-lucrative Mayweather-Pacquiao rematch.
If my memory serves me correctly, Pacquiao apparently owes the US and Philippine governments at least $75m in unpaid taxes. Manny isn’t going to take huge sporting risks, such as losing to Spence Jr, if it diminishes his future earnings potential.
The only way this bout happens is if the Filipino legend is intent on retiring and seeking one final big payday to fund his pension pot, which will require both the PBC and one of the networks (Fox or Showtime) to heavily invest in this passing-of-the-torch fight.

Re: SPENCE vs PACQUAIO: Who Wins and How?
Spence by dominant points win.
Pacquiao would have struggled to beat Spence when he was in his 20s and early 30s; he'd get nowhere near The Truth at 41 years old.
It's a real shame that a talent like Spence has to keep entertaining these pointless fights that no-one was clamouring before they were announced or mooted, when he is competing in one of the best era of welterweights since the late 1980s.
Spence will get little credit for beating up an aged Pacquiao and I just don't get why this has even come up.

Re: SPENCE vs PACQUAIO: Who Wins and How?
I don't think Manny goes near Spence but he still owes quite a bit in back taxes (I had read that the Philippine government had seized some of his property) so it's possible that he's willing to cash out.
The fight itself may be reminiscent of Pacquiao's cruel beatdown of De La Hoya 10 years ago. Only the roles are switched.
What goes around comes around. Especially true in boxing.

I can picture Pac's wife Jinkee standing at the the top of the staircase yelling at Manny .... "YOU CAN'T WIN!",

Re: SPENCE vs PACQUAIO: Who Wins and How?
I figure Spence would show him respect, and wouldn't slaughter him right away though he could, but I can't imagine he wouldn't eventually quit being so nice a guy, and just beat the crap out of him until he either knocked him cold or made him quit to save himself from such a fate.
It'd be all Spence.
It'd be all Spence.

Spence, wide decision..............
Pac (in his prime) vs. recent Spence would be competitive.............

Horrible contest and honestly when Spence called for it after the Garcia fight it made me think a bit less of him.
Re: SPENCE vs PACQUAIO: Who Wins and How?
I can see that. Calling out a 40+ y/o smaller guy isn't exactly what fandom wants.leejonesjnr wrote: ↑18 Mar 2019, 17:28 Horrible contest and honestly when Spence called for it after the Garcia fight it made me think a bit less of him.
