Oisin Fagen certainly isn't a fan of Peter McDonagh, after Peter pulled out of their fight on June 3rd

this is from secondsout.com

A furious Fagan said, "Naturally I am angry and very disappointed, but
honestly, I just knew something like this would happen. He got scared-
that's all there is to it! He mouthed off at the press conference,
declaring that he was going to knock me out. I wasn't there to defend
myself, as I live here in Oklahoma, so he had easy, uninterrupted
freedom of the press and nobody there to challenge him contrarily.
Then I heard he was frantically looking for tapes of some of my
fights. He watched one of my fights live in Dublin last year, when I
knocked out an American lad in 83 seconds of the first round and then
the only other tape he could have watched was when I gave Julio Cesar
Chavez Jr. the best fight of his career in Las Vegas. Then, all of a
sudden, it looks like he got cold feet. I don't think he's injured at
all."

and continued, " All his
spouting off about Uri Gellar giving him the 'mind-power' to 'overcome
every lightweight in the country' and then telling us he hurt his
knee- give me a break. I just came from X-rays on my hand last week to
clear me to fight. It hurts, but hey, I'm a fighter, so ignoring pain
is what I do best. Can Uri Gellar not use his wand to magically weld
Peter's knee back together? What kind of wizard are you Uri? Your
telling me, the man who can bend spoons and stop clocks with his mind,
can't put a little magic spell on McDonagh's knee to hold it together,
until after he fights me? Or maybe you're telling me that knee-joints
are most uncooperative when it comes to magic tricks? Stop with the
excuses Peter and come fight me! Maybe the Fighting-Irish-Spirit has
left you- that's what happens when you spend so much time in England
buddy."

probably right there, Fagan hasn't boxed at the level of McDonagh, but at least it will get the fires burning and sell a few more tickets if they meet.

Thaxton would be too much for McDonagh. Peter that is. He looked the best I've seen him in ages in his last fight. Jon that is.

No disrespect to mc donagh, but Thaxton would stay with him, mc donagh is brave and has skills but he doesn't hit hard enough to stop Thaxton
