Canelo/GGG might be the only one we ever see.
Re: Which mega-fight do you expect to happen first ?
canelo - ggg or usyk vs josh
Re: Which mega-fight do you expect to happen first ?
Loma vs Garcia. I figure Loma's camp would look at this matchup more favorably after Garcia's performance vs Spence. I'm just about giving up on the HW matchups.

Isn't Canelo GGG already pencilled in for Sept. Crooked Vegas once more?
Irresistible gravitational force of money. The usual crooks beavering away behind the scenes. This time Golovkin can play brinkmanship too.
Just for the icing on the cake boys how about bringing back the one and only Adalaide Byrd?
It'll be just like old times.

I'm swerving Alvarez V Golovkin 3 as that would be part of a series, but out of the others, I'd bet on Usyk V Joshua.
Usyk is on a mission to be HW champion and he does not strike me as the type who would bitch about money etc; he just wants the belts, so negotiating with him should be easy in theory.

The Ukrainian block boxers are so easy to negotiate must be a promoters delight - they just want the best fights willing to fight home or away!Syntax Error wrote: ↑21 Mar 2019, 07:16 I'm swerving A!cares V Golovkin 3 as that would be part of a series, but out of the others, I'd bet on Usyk V Joshua.

What fight should have happened first was Joshua vs Wilder, followed by Mikey Garcia vs Lomachenko, with Crawford vs Spence signed for later this year. Welcome to my fantasy.

If I could get all that vodka for the price of water, I'd gladly turn my lawn into a rock garden.

Usyk VS Joshua, which would be a cracking matchup, seems to have a real possibility of happening late this year, or early 2020.

Usyk will have 2 or 3 fights this year. Or even extending into 2020jinlanaudiere wrote: ↑23 Mar 2019, 23:26 Usyk VS Joshua, which would be a cracking matchup, seems to have a real possibility of happening late this year, or early 2020.
A Joshua fight won't happen until at least next summer. Probably later.
Re: Which mega-fight do you expect to happen first ?
At least we can be confident it will happen. Two fighters who don't swerve a challenge.
I voted GGG v Canelo III though. The most likely and the one I'm probably least excited about. There seems to be a basis for a new "law" here relating to the inverse probability ratio of most likely and least anticipated fights.
Don't get me wrong. Those two will produce another great fight which will be worth watching, but if it's in Vegas the result will be the same and GGG is getting older. Who knows, maybe Canelo will even deserve the decision next time. I'm past caring really - been there, seen it, got the postcard

Re: Which mega-fight do you expect to happen first ?
Only a third of these fights are likely, due to fighters being stablemates or free agents, such as:
• Prograis vs. M. Garcia 2020 (2020, due to WBSS)
• Canelo vs. GGG (September 2020)
• Usyk vs. Joshua (2020, due to AJ's mandatories & two bouts per year schedule)
Deontay Wilder is technically a free agent and after he beats his WBC mandatory challenger, Dominic Breazeale, he should be able to face Tyson Fury next (since ‘The Bronze Bomber’ insists he’s a free agent).
So I reckon the Wilder-Fury rematch is likely to happen first. There “shouldn’t” be any political obstacles (since Bob Arum and Al Haymon do work with each other frequently) and this bout is worth too much money for it not to take place.
