Anthony Joshua vs Jarrell Miller one of the biggest fights in history?
Re: Anthony Joshua vs Jarrell Miller one of the biggest fights in history?
Well, they ain't big names but, it feels like it gonna be a great fight. But one of the biggest in history? Nah.
Re: Anthony Joshua vs Jarrell Miller one of the biggest fights in history?
Big as in how much they weigh?
Re: Anthony Joshua vs Jarrell Miller one of the biggest fights in history?
Absolutely no where near top 5, I could probably think of at least ten if not more that were bigger
Re: Anthony Joshua vs Jarrell Miller one of the biggest fights in history?
Anyone else and I'd say OP meant size, but considering who it is, he's probably thinking 'greatest.'

If getnutta thinks this is one of history's biggest fights, who are we to deny his warped sense of values?
Re: Anthony Joshua vs Jarrell Miller one of the biggest fights in history?
It might be one of the bigger Heavyweight bouts if you're actually talking about Dollars earned, but when you factor in inflation, and all that I doubt that would be the case.
I'm not really sure how Promoters ever see a profit with the insane amounts they pay these guys actually.

John Ruiz vs Fres Oquendo once happened in the same building. Good luck living up to the stuff of legends.

sorry ... what?getnada wrote: ↑19 Mar 2019, 18:09 If we look at the history of the sport, what rank of biggest heavyweight fights in history would this fight be at?
Top 5 in the history of the sport?
I mean, can we name many more bigger heavyweight fights? I can't think out more then a handfull actually. Can any of you guys? Will there come any bigger heavyweight fight any time soon?

He's too demented to troll.
Trolls know what they're doing.
Nutta doesn't. He's quite ill.

Based on their last fights...you’re looking at about 560 lbs in the ring.

Re: Anthony Joshua vs Jarrell Miller one of the biggest fights in history?
Impressive girth indeed.
But not as hefty as when Valuev defended his WBA crown in a pathetic encounter with Jameel McCline.
There must have been about 700 lbs in the ring that night.
Valuev retained when the blubbery McCline plopped to the canvas and injured his knee, unable to continue.
Joshua and Big Baby won't come close to eclipsing that gigantic matchup.

LOL! IF Joshua comes in at 250 and Miller at 315, I think it's close.SenorPipino wrote: ↑20 Mar 2019, 17:59Impressive girth indeed.

You're right.
I checked the official weights: Valuev 322, Big Time McCline 268. A total of 590 lb.
Seems light. McCline's man boobs must have been subtracted from the official weights, per WBA policy.
So Miller and Joshua would be in the ballpark at 565 total.
I suspect that Big Baby may enter under 300 lbs for his 1st title opportunity.

I hope they have a good sized ref for this bout.SenorPipino wrote: ↑20 Mar 2019, 18:43oogiebe wrote: ↑20 Mar 2019, 18:02LOL! IF Joshua comes in at 250 and Miller at 315, I think it's close.SenorPipino wrote: ↑20 Mar 2019, 17:59Impressive girth indeed.

If they "finally" made the fight between Riddick "Big Daddy" Bowe vs. Lennox Lewis "today", that would be even bigger than this fight.
