Re: Terence Crawford vs. Amir Khan - April 20, 2019
Details on how fans will be able to access the pay-per-view broadcast, which will begin at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT, will be announced at a later date.
The entire undercard will stream live beginning at 6 p.m. ET on ESPN+, the new multi-sport, direct-to-consumer subscription streaming service from The Walt Disney Company’s Direct-to-Consumer & International segment in conjunction with ESPN.
“This terrific undercard accompanying the Crawford-Khan main event will be extremely entertaining and exciting,” said Top Rank chairman Bob Arum. “Shakur Stevenson and Teofimo Lopez are two of the brightest young lights in boxing and are facing seasoned opponents in Diaz and Tatli. Felix Verdejo is on the comeback trail, and Bryan Vasquez is a tough veteran who won’t give in.”

Re: Terence Crawford vs. Amir Khan - April 20, 2019
Does anyone have the Terence Crawford inside the ring that ESPN ran on the buildup to the Horn fight? I've never been able to find it anywhere and just the clip about the Indongo fight is on youtube.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I am surprised this has attracted so much attention on this forum - Khan's punch resistance as he has got older has diminished if this was a line graph you will see a steep declining line...
Re: Terence Crawford vs. Amir Khan - April 20, 2019
That's an interesting undercard, especially for Tatli/Teofimo, for me (the best occasion for a solid albanian-born boxer against a young rising phenom).
I do not see Khan coming out alive from this
Re: Terence Crawford vs. Amir Khan - April 20, 2019
I do think Khan can match Crawford's speed, might even be faster. Khan is a front runner though and the definition of a 6 round fighter. Like most Khan fights, he'll start fast and keep Crawford on his toes for the first few rounds, maybe even winning 2 of the first 3. Khan will slow down, start making mistakes in rounds 5 - 7, then it's just a matter of time before Crawford clips him and the fights over.

Re: Terence Crawford vs. Amir Khan - April 20, 2019
Solid take amigo!! In that regard Khan is very similar to Zab Judah, who was a master front runner. Judah's fast starts against Tszyu and Mayweather were textbook examples of front running that fizzled. Amir did basically the same thing against Danny Garcia and Canelo. Crawford's ability to adjust to his opponent's style in mid-fight is world-class, probably the best among active boxers now that Floyd is retired (the Gamboa fight being a prime example).NateJR wrote: ↑21 Mar 2019, 11:58 I do think Khan can match Crawford's speed, might even be faster. I was originally thinking Bud by decision but now you've got me thinking Crawford by KO!!

They're like flipping a double-headed coin.
Re: Terence Crawford vs. Amir Khan - April 20, 2019
I think they are as long as he's not fighting someone this good. Jeff Horn would be a good fight for Khan...boxers at that level.
Re: Terence Crawford vs. Amir Khan - April 20, 2019
Crawford is too sharp of a puncher and I think he has plenty of power to get Khan out of there. I don't think Crawford will leave him unconscious like Canelo, I'm leaning more towards a TKO type stoppage with Khan on wobbly legs and the referee stepping in, maybe after a KD or 2.Best Coast wrote: ↑21 Mar 2019, 19:31Solid take amigo!! I think it's a bit of a easy fight to predict, but it will be interesting to see how Crawford adjusts to Khan's notorious fast start and its almost guaranteed to be fun while it lasts based on Khan willing to go out on his shield.
Re: Terence Crawford vs. Amir Khan - April 20, 2019
craw is a really well rounded fighter, i think he can deal with anything khan brings, craw sometimes starts slow though so khan might get those customary first few rounds he usually does
Re: Terence Crawford vs. Amir Khan - April 20, 2019
Yeah, I guess, similar to Canelo bout, Khan will start decent, but then Crawford will calculate him and KTFO him somewhere in the 6th-8th.

But Khan explains that he was greatly affected by a quick trainer switch to Joe Goossen.
After his longtime trainer Virgil Hunter became very ill, Khan was forced to find a new coach in a hurry and hired Goossen.
Now that Hunter is back on his feet, Khan went right back to him.
"[Virgil has] known me for a long time, so it's always better to be with someone who knows you and your fighting style," Khan told Nick Parkinson.
"As you get older it gets harder [and] when you go to a new trainer, it can be hard to adapt to their ideas. Joe Goossen did a great job with two warm-up fights, but I've decided to go back to Virgil.
"There were a lot of wobbly moments in my last fight and I should have stopped him [Vargas] or knocked him out - he should never have been in the same ring as me.
"Luis Collazo just beat him and that shows you; I beat Collazo quite comfortably five years ago. But it was because of a change of trainer and a change of style and everything happened so quickly. That's when I realised I should go back to training under Virgil."

Khan is definitely faster than Crawford. His boxing IQ and accuracy is nowhere near as high thoughNateJR wrote: ↑21 Mar 2019, 11:58 I do think Khan can match Crawford's speed, might even be faster. khan is the fastest handed fighter in the world from 135 up, absolutely ridiculous atg level speed, short on boxing iq and durability of course though
