I saw that on a couple of sites. Curious to see if folks piss all over this like it should be. The guy lost his last fight and isn't the top 5 guy that we were promised. Fury is making a mistake by taking a soft fight. I wonder if he can maintain the shape he got in vs Wilder or will he fall off as I suspect. Makes Wilder vs Breazeale look a whole lot better. Ridiculous.

I'm real curious if Tyson can maintain his focus until either Joshua or a Wilder rematch.
Will he fall off the wagon?

Well people were saying that with Joshua facing Miller and Wilder facing Breazeale, Fury's choice of opponent would likely be lesser, and they were right.

Jennings may not necessarily be a lesser fighter than Breazeale, but he's done little lately to be worthy of a big fight. Fury is sorta in a good position. He's the lineal Champ, and has the prestige of that, but no pressure to fight anybody dangerous unless he wants to. He can just rack up defenses against 2nd tier guys if he wants. Ultimately though I figure the money of a Joshua fight will be too much for either him or Wilder to pass on.

Jennings coming off a KO defeat.

I take it that this wouldn't be ESPN PPV.

Maybe not even ESPN +.

I wonder how they're doing with subscribers.

DAZN seems to have stolen all the boxing thunder.

Neither services is anxious to release subscription figures.

Rivas knocked him the fvck out. This is the worst matchup of the big three by a long shot. Should take some heat off of Wilder, it's that bad...

If this was Wilder everyone would screaming and jumping up and down picking him apart. Fury fought two stiffs and Wilder. He needs to keep up his performance level and fighting Jennings is a bvllshvt move. Ridiculous.

No one can defend this fight. Especially since Jennings is coming off a no loss.
It's a joke

Over 3m subs.

UFC’s first ESPN+ show increased the subs by 500k..

I strongly believe that ESPN+ have more subs than DAZN. It’s half the price too.

Some will probably just sub to DAZN when Canelo is fighting or someone else big.

DAZN need to produce 1 big fight per month to keep people sub’d.

.

Were those numbers released by ESPN? I've never seen figures for the new app.

ESPN won't discuss how many viewers have watched fights on its app, such as last years Pac-Matthysse bout.

Agreed!! I just lost the respect I had for Fury when he got up off the canvas in the 12th after Wilder dropped him.

You knew it was going to be against a top rank guy, knew it was gonna be lower risk, knew Rivas didn’t want it (because, stupidly, boxing fans dont like title challengers who don’t have zeros), knew they were gonna save Pulev for later...

So why wouldn’t it be Jennings?

Coming off KO loss and on no one's radar. Why not Helenius; Kuzmin; Parker; Ortiz; ??? Don't keep on prating on about being a top 5 contender and then spring Jennings on the fighting public.

Arum appears strictly interested in getting Fury exposure for his first ESPN bout. Trying to whet the appetite for that possible Wilder rematch.

I don't think that Arum is looking for an opponent here who is vaguely competitive.
