Need Help tracking down information

I know my granfather was a golden gloves boxer! I have two pair of his gloves with a slightly visible golden gloves stamp on it. I remember him talking about it but I don't know if it was here in Ohio or somewhere else that he fought! How could I try to track down more information?? Any help be be great!! My father just passed away and I really want to try and do something special for my family by finding this information out about my grandpa to help lift the family spirits.

You would 1st have to find out where a fought, approx. year. Then you can contact the Golden Gloves of the state.
