This fight won’t happen.

Joe Joyce might be lined-up to face Charles Martin next. He’s the mandatory challenger for Agit Kabayel's EBU title. ‘The Juggernaut’ is also due to challenge for Manuel Charr’s WBA regular world heavyweight title. Joyce has bigger fish to fry and will very likely decline the opportunity to capture the British title.

Dubois won't take it, Kabayel might. Who would be left after Dubois? Gorman? Allen? Price?

In a weird turn of events over the past year from Joyce calling out the top 10 of the division and them all turning him down because he had only had a couple of fights, to all of the fringe-world-level heavyweights wanting absolutely nothing to do with him for titles. The ducking is being legitimised even though he hasn't massively impressed.

I'd watch that fight. It'd be a barn burner. Can't see either taking the risk vs each other at this point. Each needs one or two more fights, especially Dubois. At 21, there's no reason to take such a risk.

To be fair, the alleged “ducking” may be due to Joyce being a PBC fighter. Also, we don’t know anything about the offers Richard Schaefer and Steve Goodwin submitted to Joe’s rivals.

For all we know they may have submitted lowball offers and then subsequently proclaimed "duck!" after they were rejected, as a ploy to enhance Joyce’s “fearsome” reputation.

Like you, I don’t see any sporting reasons for Joyce’s peers to avoid sharing the ring with a slow-motion Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robot.
