Pulev calls out Rivas
Pulev calls out Rivas
Even in his non-ring events, Pulev is boring. He's calling out Rivas to avenge his loss to Oscar in the 2008 Olympics. The more I consider a Pulev/Rivas fight, the more I believe that Rivas would still beat him. "Once I beat Dinu..." Oooooo...horrifying!

Just proving both fighters are definitely out of the Fury lottery

Hmmm...maybe...didn't think of that. I wish I didn't care.tiny_acres wrote: ↑21 Mar 2019, 21:39Just proving both fighters are definitely out of the Fury lottery

Maybe a doubleheader.
Fury-Jennings.
Pulev-Rivas.
Winners meet in the fall.
All orchestrated by Arum. Even Pulev's call-out.

But not enough to watch Fury vs Jennings.
I'd probably turn it off before the main event

I guess when you think about it, styles dictate that Fury-Jennings will be a real stinker.tiny_acres wrote: ↑21 Mar 2019, 22:12I wouldn't mind seeing Pulev vs Rivas.SenorPipino wrote: ↑21 Mar 2019, 21:58 Maybe a doubleheader.

Pulev will beat Rivas even easier than chisora.
Re: Pulev calls out Rivas
I like this fight but are the IBF just not going to call their mandatory?

That's not true ... because you don't know boxing and love eye pleasing fights like mike tyson only.Onetimeonly wrote: ↑22 Mar 2019, 08:21Any pulev fight is a stinker.SenorPipino wrote: ↑21 Mar 2019, 23:28I guess when you think about it, styles dictate that Fury-Jennings will be a real stinker.tiny_acres wrote: ↑21 Mar 2019, 22:12I wouldn't mind seeing Pulev vs Rivas.SenorPipino wrote: ↑21 Mar 2019, 21:58 Maybe a doubleheader.

I love to watch Pulev. It takes to be very smart and tactical where he is at today, considering Pulev doesn't have best chin and best punch. Many boxers who are lacking these 2 major attributes in boxing, usually never make it even to Top 10, hence pulev has been in Top 2-7 for such long time.
Re: Pulev calls out Rivas
Pulev is a boring fighter but he usually wins. He's aging. Let him get his shot. Joshua or Wilder would wipe the floor with him.

Re: Pulev calls out Rivas
Pulev can outjab Rivas, if Rivas will be looking for a punch like in the Jennings bout. Actually I don't think, that Rivas has any chanced to outbox Pulev. Rivas needs to find good ways to deliver his shots.
Re: Pulev calls out Rivas
The more I think about it, the more I can see Rivas beating Pulev. Pulev has nothing to keep Rivas off of him for a full 10/12 rounds. Jab jab hold won't work on Rivas who has an inside game and sneaky left hook.
Re: Pulev calls out Rivas
That's exactly what i remember everyone saying when chisora at his 242lbs lightest weight fought pulev, that he can't keep chisora off him from puting pressure on him for 12 rounds . This will be repeat of chisora fight. Pulev is 20lbs more muscle and bone than jennings, just by leaning over, Rivas legs will give out

Re: Pulev calls out Rivas
Rivas is a different fighter than Chisora. He can box and already had beaten Pulev in the amateurs. (A while ago, to be fair).Boxtune wrote: ↑22 Mar 2019, 11:17That's exactly what i remember everyone saying when chisora at his 242lbs lightest weight fought pulev, that he can't keep chisora off him from puting pressure on him for 12 rounds . So you claim pulev isn't dull but he'll lean Rivas to death?
Re: Pulev calls out Rivas
Rivas beat Pulev in the 2008 Olympics, so yeah, Ten years is a while ago.Boxtune wrote: ↑22 Mar 2019, 11:20A while ago ? BTW, I think EO has another pseudonym. Not this guy, but on another thread. Let's see if you can guess. He's having conversations with himself.

I don't read many of his posts. This guy is just a Bulgarian that's a fan of their top fighter. I would never begrudge him that, but he should still be able to admit he's dull as fornicate and has no major wins.
Re: Pulev calls out Rivas
I don't mind that sort of fandom, when it's clear where he's coming from. If he can stand watching 12 rounds of Pulev without falling asleep, so be it. I'd rather watch M*A*S*H reruns.Onetimeonly wrote: ↑22 Mar 2019, 11:25I don't read many of his posts. This guy is just a Bulgarian that's a fan of their top fighter.
