Pulev calls out Rivas

Post by oogiebe »

Even in his non-ring events, Pulev is boring. He's calling out Rivas to avenge his loss to Oscar in the 2008 Olympics. The more I consider a Pulev/Rivas fight, the more I believe that Rivas would still beat him. "Once I beat Dinu..." Oooooo...horrifying!

Just proving both fighters are definitely out of the Fury lottery

Maybe a doubleheader.

Fury-Jennings.

Pulev-Rivas.

Winners meet in the fall.

All orchestrated by Arum. Even Pulev's call-out.

I wouldn't mind seeing Pulev vs Rivas.
But not enough to watch Fury vs Jennings.
I'd probably turn it off before the main event

I guess when you think about it, styles dictate that Fury-Jennings will be a real stinker.

That's not true ... because you don't know boxing and love eye pleasing fights like mike tyson only.

I love to watch Pulev. It takes to be very smart and tactical where he is at today, considering Pulev doesn't have best chin and best punch. Many boxers who are lacking these 2 major attributes in boxing, usually never make it even to Top 10, hence pulev has been in Top 2-7 for such long time.

Pulev is a boring fighter but he usually wins. He's aging. Let him get his shot. Joshua or Wilder would wipe the floor with him.

Pulev can outjab Rivas, if Rivas will be looking for a punch like in the Jennings bout. Actually I don't think, that Rivas has any chanced to outbox Pulev. Rivas needs to find good ways to deliver his shots.

The more I think about it, the more I can see Rivas beating Pulev. Pulev has nothing to keep Rivas off of him for a full 10/12 rounds. Jab jab hold won't work on Rivas who has an inside game and sneaky left hook.

That's exactly what i remember everyone saying when chisora at his 242lbs lightest weight fought pulev, that he can't keep chisora off him from puting pressure on him for 12 rounds . This will be repeat of chisora fight. Pulev is 20lbs more muscle and bone than jennings, just by leaning over, Rivas legs will give out

Rivas is a different fighter than Chisora. He can box and already had beaten Pulev in the amateurs. (A while ago, to be fair).

I don't read many of his posts. This guy is just a Bulgarian that's a fan of their top fighter. I would never begrudge him that, but he should still be able to admit he's dull as fornicate and has no major wins.

I don't mind that sort of fandom, when it's clear where he's coming from. If he can stand watching 12 rounds of Pulev without falling asleep, so be it. I'd rather watch M*A*S*H reruns.
