I knew it was too good to last.
And with what they are paying fighters for crap fights that price will keep going up

Re: Dazn doubles subscription price
Doubling it seems a very bold move. I can't remember any subscription service doing that. Netflix goes up by 50p.
Re: Dazn doubles subscription price
does this mean they got a number of subscriptions there were after or something
Re: Dazn doubles subscription price
That doesn't make their service a no brainer any longer. I'm guessing they are not hitting forecasted numbers.
Re: Dazn doubles subscription price
In comparison, Espn is $4.99
Re: Dazn doubles subscription price
After reading the article, it sounds like if you pay the entire year it's less than 9.99 per month. The 19.99 is only for new monthly subscribers. It's done to sustain subscriptions, and obviously to help cash flow.

Re: Dazn doubles subscription price
Anyone currently paying $9.99 will continue to do so until March 2020.. from then, they will have to choose one of the plans. Either pay for 1 year, which would work out $8pm or pay $19.99
PPV’s in the UK are $19.99 anyway. What’s the difference haha.
Re: Dazn doubles subscription price
Well, for us PPV is like $80.00 (I haven't paid for it since Mike Tyson's days).Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑21 Mar 2019, 16:18Anyone currently paying $9.99 will continue to do so until March 2020.. from then, they will have to choose one of the plans. Do you pay on top of that for "cable" (I think you used to call it?)oogiebe wrote: ↑21 Mar 2019, 16:20Well, for us PPV is like $80.00 (I haven't paid for it since Mike Tyson's days).Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑21 Mar 2019, 16:18Anyone currently paying $9.99 will continue to do so until March 2020.. from then, they will have to choose one of the plans. The reason we moan about PPV is that we have to pay Sky, BT, allegedly etc. for subscription satellite already.
I pay about £80 per month (about $100) to get all the sports and channels, then often have to pay £20 PPV ON TOP.
That said, we get all the PBC on free "terrestrial" telly..
Re: Dazn doubles subscription price
Yes, we also pay for cable service. Another American ripoff. Fees are over $200/month. We're trying to figure out how to bypass the cable company, but we don't have an alternative source for basic internet that's fast enough.skanksta wrote: ↑21 Mar 2019, 16:39Do you pay on top of that for "cable" (I think you used to call it?)oogiebe wrote: ↑21 Mar 2019, 16:20Well, for us PPV is like $80.00 (I haven't paid for it since Mike Tyson's days).Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑21 Mar 2019, 16:18Anyone currently paying $9.99 will continue to do so until March 2020.. from then, they will have to choose one of the plans. If you pay for a year it's cheaper(for now). I did a year. They make haymon look responsible with money. Great effort, boxing is just dead here.tiny_acres wrote: ↑21 Mar 2019, 15:03 I knew it was too good to last.

$350 for a month is borderline criminal.Onetimeonly wrote: ↑21 Mar 2019, 17:27My cable bill is $190 a month before ppv. It’ll never get that high in the U.K. (hooray) because our cost of living is a lot higher (boo). Virtually no-one would be able to justify paying it, and many households genuinely couldn’t stretch to it financially.tiny_acres wrote: ↑21 Mar 2019, 17:30$350 for a month is borderline criminal.Onetimeonly wrote: ↑21 Mar 2019, 17:27My cable bill is $190 a month before ppv. Re: Dazn doubles subscription price
What they're doing is locking people like myself down for a year and up charging people that will buy and cancel a few times for fights they want to see.. profit is still impossible but that makes sense.
