That's a big factor in why British Boxing is so strong - great promoters.
Our guys always have the easiest defences, home advantage, shots at the weakest champion.
I say great - great for their fightes' careers.
Rubbish for fans of well matched fights.
Moreno is ranked 14

Voluntary defences are always meant to be easy. 90% of the time.
Yeah it's a voluntary - fair enough - but the point still stands.

They just mentioned Selby’s fight later on. Shame it’s not on TV.

It’s his first voluntary. I think he’s entitled to it personally. He didn’t win a vacant title and actually everyone on here was tuning in to watch him get ironed out against a Rosales.

Plus both Edwards’s World title shots were not against sh1t World champions. You make out like British boxing is in the pits. I could reel off a load of tough World title fights and defences in the last 3 or 4 years, plus our champions are getting pushed into unifications far more often now compared to 15-20 years back when I started watching the sport seriously.

No wonder flyweights don't last into their 30s. You get away with nothing at this weight.

I'm just saying that Brit fighters are very well managed.

They get their careers mapped out by experienced masters like allegedly.
They usually get home advantage, generous judging, opponents selected at just the right time.
And they get sooo many WT shots that unknown Africans and unpronounceable Eastern Europeans never would.

its true, because uk has a strong boxing scene with strong promoters, so it follows that the fighters with those promoters get better chances etc then most do

Can't take too Edwards , , I just don't like showboaters , Especielly when they fight a guy 2-3 levels below , and can't put him away . In fact find myself hoping / wishing Moreno lands a lucky one when he showboats

Yeah - I like Moreno.
He's making a mismatch fun to watch - and that's not easy to do.

If he was good he'd be great !

You have to worry for Moreno's future health, the way he can walk straight through shots for round after round...
