Harvey Weinstein was accused of sexual harassment due to his failed attempts to kiss several of his alleged victims.

And I’m not really sure if Jenny Sushe and Kubrat Pulev really were good friends prior to the kiss either, based on the obvious language barrier that exists between both parties.

Placing both hands on someone’s face, who you hardly know, and then forcefully kissing them without their consent within a workplace environment, is bizarre and inappropriate. It’s not something that should be endorsed.

I guess the offensiveness of Pulev’s actions is dependent on the perceptions of the alleged victim, but it’s clear that Kubrat shouldn’t have done this. Jenny Sushe was simply doing her job.

Kubrat made a mistake, did something really stupid and deserves to be criticised, but he shouldn’t be labelled as some sort of hideously obscene sexual deviant either.

I don’t understand why people would defend this. It’s always men who say this kind of thing isn’t a big deal. I don’t know any women who want to be kissed on the lips by a man without consent, especially a sweaty caveman with an open head wound. But then again, I’m an “overly sensitive millennial.”

lololol!!!! I know.
Gents, If you DON'T think that is a sexual assault..,
Just imagine a gay man - with the size and presence of Pulev - deciding YOUR lips were so kissable he just couldn't help himself.
Would you think that was acceptable at work ?

..at the beginning of that footage she was standing VERY close to him..I kinda thought: is that a girlfriend or something? the whole thing is just unprofessional, poor taste...not more than that...

I'm not overly offended by it, but I can definitely see why people are.

Technically it is a form of sexual assault.

Would Pulev do the same to Seckbach, Raheem or Kugan?

I noticed how she was practically standing on top of him. Very close.

She wasn't dressed very professionally either.

I do wonder if they've had some prior personal contact with one another.

Indeed, if he hasn't given Max Kellerman a hand job by the end of the week I fully expect the #metoo mob to come down on him like a ton of bricks.

Whether or not he gives a f**k is a different story.

I have to say, this is why I feel a little bad for women who report on sports. Jim Gray never has to worry about this happening, it's pretty ludicrous that she should have to.

She'd score so many points if she just played it off like, what's the big deal?? Instead of turning into a major assault case like she will no doubt feel pressured to do. Has she said anything about it yet?

I'm sure it's just a European thing, right Kubrat?? :OhYes:

She didn’t seem offended so what's the problem? I she feels offended she can sue him. I really do not understand what is the problem and why people care about this incident so much.

The fact that Jenny chose to hide her feelings about the bizarre incident is irrelevant. She was in the media spotlight.

Imagine if you saw this happen to your daughter, your sister, your mother, your wife or some other female you were close to, with the incident happening in their workplace... and you were there?

So she’s conscientiously doing her job and some random stranger (a huge bloke), a person she doesn’t know, grabbed hold of her face and forcefully planted a kiss on her lips without her consent – how would you react in that scenario if you were in close proximity?

I’ll quote another example posted by one of the other forum members: “just imagine a gay man - with the size and presence of Pulev - deciding YOUR lips were so kissable he just couldn't help himself. Would you think that was acceptable at work?”

If that sort of thing doesn’t really bother you, then that’s just the way you feel. Others think that what Kubrat’s done is inappropriate. To each their own I guess.

Imagine you’re accustomed to eating Filet mignon every day of the week, wouldn’t you be occasionally be tempted to eat something completely different as a one-off, such as a McDonald's Big Mac burger?

Even Gordon Ramsey frequents burger vans every once in a while.

Don't be jealous.

I'm sure that if you had been the one conducting a very up close interview with Pulev, he would have given you a tasty mouthful too. ;-)

How do you handle this one? If a woman has the right not to be kissed, and she ultimately should have that right, so should a guy.

Technically he was sexually assaulted before the fight. Give the kissing boxing a small fine and set up a rematch, uhh a match, as the fight didn't happen. Give Pulev a small fine, and everyone behave themselves. :shame:

But being banned for an unwanted kiss is ludicrous.

@ Oogiebe : Just kidding of course. I'm in a frivolous mood tonight.

In all seriousness, there has been a lot of outrage about England's black footballers being subjected to monkey noises and racist chanting from the host fans in Montenegro last night. Racism is something that is rightfully being stamped on and will hopefully one day be eradicated, but it's not like the UK is without sin and time was when what the Montenegro fans were doing was commonplace in England.

We have to remember that not every country is as multi-coloured (I was going to say ethnically diverse but that is probably inaccurate of the Balkans) and progress moves at different rates in different places, and is further along the road in some places than in others. They'll get there but it's unreasonable to expect all cultures to arrive simultaneously.

The same can be said of many things including religious tolerance, homosexuality, and attitudes to women 's rights.

I'm not advocating turning a blind-eye to what liberals in the west regard as unacceptable, but a bit of understanding and tolerance toward more traditional cultures and attitudes would not go amiss. Surely we should not be intolerant of intolerance.

Of course you don't condone such behavior. What's sad is your need to express that. This the part of our culture that is making me fume more than anything else. Everyone is scared to be labeled a racist; homophobe; misogynist; etc. We assume the worst and then we seem to love to point out what you are without even knowing the person. Sorry for the rant.
