Magee has been put down but never stopped so i dont think his chin is as bad as people on here would like to think so.jamesmcdonnell wrote:Froch may have a poor defence and questionable power, but Magee has a poor chin, and little or no power.
Froch is going to be found wanting as he moves up, but he's a lot more exciting to watch than Magee, so I plump for Froch hoping his big mouth gets a chance to rev up again.
I hope im wrong about froch and he is as good as he and his fans think but ive seen nothing to suggest otherwise so im sticking with my countryman magee on this one to win comfy on points unless there is some jiggery pokery going on with the judges cards.

Is this strange to be honest i dont care much for Froch or Magee and i wont be to bothered who wins this bout but for some strange reason i had a very vivid dream about the fight Magee comes racing out the corner at the opening bell hit froch with a 1 2 combo then froch takes a wild lunge at magee who sidesteps the attempt and bang hit froch with a huge right hand and knocks him through the ropes and the ref waves it off.
dont laugh please

Same as Silkov, Froch is the one with the brighter future, so I'm rooting for him, wheras Magee has found his level.
I actually don't dislike Froch, yes he's arrogant, sometimes even disrespectful, but I think it's something the British game needs.
I find it really hard to predict just how far Froch can go. To me, he's one of those fighters you can't quite tell how good he is. For me, he could either be pretty good on the European scene or truely dominant on the world scene. Just a matter of waiting.

no way froch dominates anything at world or euro level HE IS AVERAGE has fought nobody, struggles against bog standard fighters.... the guy is 28 years old if he was gonna get there he would already be on the world scene.AlexY2K4 wrote:Same as Silkov, Froch is the one with the brighter future, so I'm rooting for him, wheras Magee has found his level.

Funny thing though i havent heard him shouting and calling out calzaghe after the lacy fight..... he was probably afraid to answer the phone for weeks after that display.
I have to agree, Froch is just not that good and while he might beat Magee he will fall short at world level. Lets see him win a European title first, Mkrtchian is beatable.achybreaky wrote:no way froch dominates anything at world or euro level HE IS AVERAGE has fought nobody, struggles against bog standard fighters.... the guy is 28 years old if he was gonna get there he would already be on the world scene.AlexY2K4 wrote:Same as Silkov, Froch is the one with the brighter future, so I'm rooting for him, wheras Magee has found his level.

I'm not sure about a big 3 title to be honest, not with his lack of defence. There are way better prospects around at 168. Bute would beat him soundly if they fought for a start.AlexY2K4 wrote:I went a bit overboard saying "truely dominant", but perhaps dominant to a certain extent, and I certainly don't feel a big three world title is beyond his reach.
