First time seeing these pictures, didn’t know these existed. That’s one of the best pictures I’ve seen of the Jeffries crouch.

those photographs are credited to the New York American and Journal which was published by William Randolph Hearst.
( it was a newspaper for the Common Man).
Jim Jeffries was still heavyweight Champion when that article was published in 1903 ,it was written by Bob Edgren who also co-wrote Jim Jeffries autobiography that was serialized in newspapers and published in bookform in May 1910
to promote the Johnson vrs Jeffries fight.
