Re: Hearn: If No Wilder - Then Joshua Faces Usyk, Pulev and Others
I think when he asks for 50% it is done out of frustration and knowing that he will not really get that amount. It is dishonest to point to that without accounting for what came before it. Wilder apparently feels scorned by Hearn for some reason. He feels like Hearn has poisoned their relationship. So what we have here is a stalemate.
I just say that I want the stalemate to be resolved even if it calls for giving Wilder 50%. What do I care about Joshua's split, after all?

Re: Hearn: If No Wilder - Then Joshua Faces Usyk, Pulev and Others
On every single rejection from Wilder, Joshua/Hearn/DAZN have come back with something better, which (on the surface) matches or exceeds what Wilder has previously asked for - he was originally happy with $15m flat remember, as long as he was given a set date/venue. How times change... Each time, Wilder/Finkel have changed their demands. The Asleep Lamps wrote: ↑28 Mar 2019, 13:35 I think when he asks for 50% it is done out of frustration and knowing that he will not really get that amount. The only offer sent the other way, was the $50m offer from BT to Sky for the rights to the fight (details confirmed by allegedly and Lou DiBella separately), with zero clue how much of that would have ended up with Joshua, and repeated false claims from Wilder and Finkel that it satisfied Joshua's request for $50m. Who's really screwing who here? Who really wants the fight?
Personally, I've lost interest. Wilder has already lost, in my eyes. Joshua should shut him out. Let him carry on earning $2m per fight. He'll come crawling back with more reasonable requests sooner or later.

You babies let your feeling dictate your reason. Make the fight. Nobody demanded for Joshua vs these other men. I know one thing is Hearn is younger than me and that makes him a young punk who needs to make the fight.

Everything you say is well versed chicanery. Just like if I were to say Wilder deserves 50%, you would have a problem with that, rather than just wanting to see the fight.Rob3_142 wrote: ↑28 Mar 2019, 17:32You have failed to answer my question. I've actually lost interest in the fight. Wilder doesn't deserve it, unless he can legitimately beat Fury in a rematch. Joshua's team are chasing the wrong fighter. The Asleep Lamps wrote: ↑28 Mar 2019, 23:23Everything you say is well versed chicanery. If people are losing interest in the fight then you can blame Hearn for that for not striking while the iron was hot.

The iron went cold when Wilder needed a robbery to get a draw against a returning Tyson Fury. Hearn made multiple offers before that. Finkel refused to discuss any of them, and lied to us about a phantom $50m instead. The Asleep Lamps wrote: ↑29 Mar 2019, 00:34 If people are losing interest in the fight then you can blame Hearn for that for not striking while the iron was hot.

Thats the fight to make right now. Joshua vs Fury. Wilder is obviously still ahead of everyone else (except maybe Whyte, who has the best recent win of any other top heavyweight), but it's not a fight I'm drooling over anymore.
Saying that, I'm not paying for any of Joshua, Wilder or Fury's next fights. All three are horse shít.

Re: Hearn: If No Wilder - Then Joshua Faces Usyk, Pulev and Others
I actually think that Eddie Hearn, Ḟrḁṅḱ Ẁḁṙṙḛṅ and Shelly Finkel’s strategy of allowing the interest in the round-robin series of bouts between Joshua, Wilder and Fury to “marinate”, whilst doing their upmost to grab the media headlines to drum up interest, by dishonestly feigning “controversy” where none exists, will end up backfiring on at least one of those parties.
For some reason, I feel that an upset is bound to happen within the next twelve months to Joshua, Wilder or Fury. All it takes is one big punch from one of the massive underdogs that will inevitably be matched against one of those guys to upset the applecart.
The sad thing though, is that I genuinely feel that the handlers of Joshua, Wilder and Fury will do their upmost to protect their assets, by orchestrating “easy” stay busy bouts against opponents’ that are meant to lose, because there’s too much money at risk to do otherwise.

I wish you would use less words. You make decent points, but I labor reading your posts. Shorten 'em up by not being over "novelistic." Thanks!Enlightened-One wrote: ↑29 Mar 2019, 10:39 I actually think that Eddie Hearn, allegedly and Shelly Finkel’s strategy of allowing the interest in the round-robin series of bouts between Joshua, Wilder and Fury to “marinate”, whilst doing their upmost to grab the media headlines to drum up interest, by dishonestly feigning “controversy” where none exists, will end up backfiring on at least one of those parties.

Edit - So I just read Hearn hasn't ruled out the fight happening in November despite the 50/50 demand. He just says that Wilder doesn't deserve that much.

I know you're trolling, because nobody can have such a unrepresentative perspective, without actually providing any justification. The Asleep Lamps wrote: ↑28 Mar 2019, 23:23Everything you say is well versed chicanery. But I'll humour you, because I'm sat on a train for the next two hours.
Do you believe that Wilder deserves 50% of the money generated in this fight? If so, can you explain why you believe that?

I think the truth is somewhere in the middle. Both sides are guilty of changing the goalposts. The Asleep Lamps wrote: ↑29 Mar 2019, 10:42It is just like how Mayweather fans ignored the fact that 2/3 of people blamed him for May Pac not happening. But you're wasting your time with the Joshua crowd. It's all about percentages with them and in their mind Joshua and Hearn can do no wrong
