Usyk v Joshua
Usyk v Joshua
If both boxers get past next opponents the WBO have said Joshua must fight Usyk next.

Re: Usyk v Joshua
usyks good but not good enough to beat josh
Re: Usyk v Joshua
If Usyk was the same size a Joshua is confidently predict him winning. He’s not though and although I can see him competing well he’d likely be stopped late on
Re: Usyk v Joshua
Usyk will look a lot better against Takam than AJ did.
Re: Usyk v Joshua
Usyk is better than AJ, but AJ will win.

Takam won’t tell us much. I can see Usyk taking another in between any potential Joshua fight. They,l come to some sort of arrangement perhaps?
If his chin can hold up he could possibly beat them all. All things being equal, size wise of course, Usyk would beat Joshua, Wilder and Fury comfortably.

styles make fights and I think Usyks style would give AJ nightmares. If His chin can hold up to AJ's power I think Usyk could win this

Re: Usyk v Joshua
AJ is too much for Usyk. He is the most complete HW today. He's not perfect, but he's powerful; throws combinations; has a decent ring IQ; takes a decent punch; and can box. He has shown an ability to be patient and let the fight come to him, meaning he can size up his opponent and make the necessary adjustments to win and win handily. Usyk is great, but his lack of size and power at HW will be his undoing here. I'd pay to see it.

I just remember Holyfield.

I’m excited about Usyk at heavy. It’s going under the radar a bit. He’ll definitely make a splash. Imagine a few years ago how much excitement an ex amateur superstar heavy, and ex undisputed cruiser champ moving up to heavy in the pros would have generated!
No need to rush though, get a few feelers in first. Took Holy a while, even then he fought down to some opponents levels at times.

he's massive.

He really is a battle tank. He also has a lot in his arsenal.skanksta wrote: ↑29 Mar 2019, 16:38AND...oogiebe wrote: ↑29 Mar 2019, 16:23 AJ is too much for Usyk. He is the most complete HW today. yeah he's good.
He's still a bit wooden, still a bit unproven, but he's good.
AND MASSIVE.

Re: Usyk v Joshua
The current crop of heavies are bloody huge, it's a steeper curve for Usyk than Holyfield, especially if he doesn't ease into it like Evander did.
Really excited about it, it has an air of history about it...
Re: Usyk v Joshua
IDK. He'll be giving up 35+ LBS and 3". I know he beat Joyce at AM, but AJ is no Joyce. This will be discussed and debated until we have a fight.
Re: Usyk v Joshua
Remember The Real Deal was made of Adamantium and he still got rocked, badly hurt and KOd by the SuperHeavies.
Still if Usyk has the chin, he should have a similar impact to Evander and that will be a welcome addition.

Re: Usyk v Joshua
The moment that Usyk lands a solid shot on a respectable heavy (Takam is perfectly suitable) we will know a lot more.
He has never been that powerful as a cruiser, so it’s possible that big heavies will take ten shots as they walk him into a corner to club him to death.
Usyk doesn’t need one punch KO Power but he needs enough to keep the like of Joshua respectful.

Re: Usyk v Joshua
Evander had two takam type fights and then the war with dokes. He wanted Mike then but king knew better. I'd take the holy that Lewis beat to comfortably stop fury or wilder. Not like bowe or old George were small.
Re: Usyk v Joshua
If he gets as juiced as Holyfield did he's got a great chance, definitely the most skilled fighter at the top end.

Re: Usyk v Joshua
By a distance. Imagine they were all 6’3 and 16st. Usyk would batter them all. He’s on a different level in terms of skill compared to the rest of the heavyweights
Re: Usyk v Joshua
I think its the best HW fight out there. Usyk beats Fury and Wilder and AJ is a pick 'em fight. He's a big cruiser, very skillful and powerful. If this comes sooner rather than later, then that's better than escalating the unification fights imo
